If you're trying to protect your Oreo stash from the toddlers, then this will work just fine on a kitchen cabinet door. On the other hand, if you seriously want a supplemental lock for an exterior door on your home to prevent unwanted entry you must choose another product. The metal is thin. The provided fastener screws are short and tiny making them useless. The lock itself is quite small. Overall, I think it's an expensive item for what you get. Bottom line: This is just not a substantial lock and I find it ineffective from the standpoint of security purposes. On the other hand, if you want the lock for an interior door or cabinet it will likely work for you after you replace the fasteners with better hardware.

The media could not be loaded.  Loved this latch! I bought this cause our doors won’t lock and we’re renting. So we bought these instead. It keeps our 1 year old out of the rooms. Especially since he likes to unfold every single piece of laundry. Definitely a 2 person job, unless you have 4 hands.

Recently, my cats had gotten out by sliding open the screen door, and I had to install these for our doors. I did use double sided tape because I'm personally no good with a drill, but it was easy to use those, and put them on, and now my cats can't open the sliding doors, and it gives us a sense of security by keeping them inside! This is definitely something every pet owner should get that is afraid of their indoor pet opening the doors.

Only an idiot would think this would work for security. This thing is a POS. This lock is built so cheap that the clip doesn’t even fit into the latch. Great idea, HORRIBLE execution.

I enlarged a door opening into the main bath of our mobile home just in case one or two of us may need to use a wheel chair. I enlarged the opening and installed a barn door. This tiny latch gives the bathroom's occupant a feeling of privacy and the small size will not be hard to break if ever there is a need to rescue the occupant in the bathroom.

Perfect little lock to add to my house pocket sliding door! Actually fits in the gap when opening the door. I no longer have to keep trying other small locks, looking for a way to keep kids from unlocking the pocket door built in latch lock from the other side with a coin.

This item is functional but it's so small that I'm not sure how efficient it would be against and intruder. But I installed it anyway and will hope for the best.The screws are very tiny and hard to install. But it is as described and does function as described.

This product is extremely small. Does work for what I bought it for. Instillation screws are very small and won't withstand much force. Seems study especially for it's size.
