While watching the last season of the blinders, I just happened to mention that it would be great if they released all the music as part of a soundtrack. Few days later I heard talk that it was to be released. Every track on this compilation is brilliant. You have done original compositions and some very creative covers. The one track that stands out for me is Jack Whites version of Love is Blindness. I’ve always liked this since it was on a Achtung Baby cover CD a few years ago. What an amazing job it must be choosing the music for programmes and films (my dream job). All the songs sound great and are well mastered hopefully from the original source.Only bad thing is it took me 3 attempts to get a copy that wasn’t faulty. I know with records you will get a bit of surface noice but the first 2 were pretty bad. I’m not going to drop a star for this as I don’t think that’s what customers want. You get 3 albums so it’s not a bad price either. It all comes in a great gatefold sleeve with lots got read. Hope everyone enjoys this as much as I am .

The music makes my drive anywhere so much better.

Good album but I wish there was more of the Arctic Monkeys music on it that featured in the series, like Arabella, One for the Road, Dance Little Liar, Dangerous Animals, Crying Lightning, Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair and their cover of Red Right Hand. The only Arctic Monkeys song included in this Peaky Blinders CD is Do I Wanna Know. Shame that more of their music was not included in this album because it was a huge part of the show.

Superb 2 x CD collection of songs taken from Series’ 1-5. One thing you need to beware of and that’s between several tracks there are snippets of conversation from a few characters such as Tommy, Arthur, Polly & Alfie and because of the gap between the previous track ending, the CD player reads the dialogue as the next track and so the track listing numbers are out, i.e. Track 1 becomes No. 2 due to dialogue by Tommy preceding it. Track 3 becomes No. 4 and Track 4 becomes No.6 and so on down the listing.As far as I’m concerned this foot tapping double cd is well worth having and singing along to especially when I’m driving!

If you're a fan of the Peaky Blinders tv series, this is a must have, since the musical soundtrack, both original score and tracks by the likes of Nick Cave, Radiohead and PJ Harvey, is a major part of its impact and success. It was a brilliant and confident move to surround the action with music not of the times, mainly the 1920s, except where it's part of the action, eg in a night club. You can listen to the nearly 40 tracks and picture the scenes or moments they occur in the episodes, helped along by short clips of some characters' lines. Or you can just enjoy this amazing mix of dramatic, evocative tracks with no reference to the Peakies at all!

I think this is my favourite soundtrack ever, so suits the blinders atmosphere.The track listing is a bit off due to the film snippets being counted as tracks, but it’s all there.Loved the cd packaging as well with lots of photos and an interview with the costume designer.If you’re a fan you won’t be disappointed.

I bought the CD for my partner for his Birthday as he absolutely love Nick Cave and the Peaky Blinders.He was overjoy and surprised. The delivery was on time, better packaging would have been excellent as it came crashing on the floor through the letter box.Overall he's very happy , sitting there with a grin on his face each time he plays the tracks.A Big Thank you..As i was racking my brain as to what to get him for his B'day..I also got him the Peaky Blinders mug, which we are still waiting for.

As someone who didn't listen to much music in the 90s and 2000s, I appreciate that the show introduced me to these songs. The sound quality is quite good on my Clearaudio Master Reference turntable.

Cette série est magnifique, racontant en 6 saisons, juste après la 1ère guerre mondiale, l’histoire d’une famille de Birmingham, les Shelby, à la tête d’un gang de criminels, les Peaky Blinders. Celui qui dirige cette famille est Tommy, interprété par le grand Cillian Murphy, donnant à son personnage une force et une complexité rares, un personnage pour qui la fin justifie toujours les moyens et en même temps, voulant s’acheter une respectabilité à tout prix. La BO de cette série est fabuleuse et elle repose sur un pari audacieux. Alors que l’action (souvent violente) se situe il y a un siècle, la musique ne comprend que des titres de rock contemporain, ce qui fonctionne parfaitement et renforce les scènes dans lesquelles elle est utilisée. Tous les titres sont très bien choisis. Au rayon des « anciens », on retrouve Joy Division, Black Sabbath et Bowie (avec « Lazarus » extrait de son dernier album « Black Star », magnifique testament). Pour le reste, une large place est faite à Nick Cave avec plusieurs morceaux dont la chanson du générique « Red Right Hand » mais aussi PJ Harvey (3 titres dont « To bring you my love »). Jack White envoie un « Love is blindness » magistral, Radiohead, Artic Monkeys, Queens of the stone age, The last shadow puppets et pour conclure Richard Hawley reprenant le « Ballad of a thin man » de Dylan. Une sélection très intelligente et goûteuse, s’accordant à merveille à cette histoire sombre et épique. À noter un très chouette livret avec l’histoire des vrais Peaky Blinders, les choix musicaux effectués dans la série et une interview de la costumière en chef.

Finde der Film ist nichts ohne die Musik, aber die Mucke funktioniert auch ohne Film.
