The media could not be loaded. Β πββοΈSO I HEARD OF THIS INTERESTING SUPP ABOUT 2 YRS AGO..WHAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION WAS THAT IT COULD BE OF HUGE IMPORTANCEDURING A HEART ATTACK!I GOT A sample from bulk supplements to try but after realizing it was going to be kind of pricey and could possibly cause gout ( my husband already has gout ) sort of abandoned it ..though in event of a heart attack, to hell w gout..however I always kept a dose just in case I ever felt like we were having a heart attack(my family has a lot of them in it's history)..Heres some of info id read n saved from then..ππππππππππππππThis sugar is important for all living organisms: It is necessary for the production of ATP, which acts as a source of energy for maintaining cellular function and health.Ribose is also an important component of RNA, As a component of RNA,it is involved in genetic transcription (the process during which DNA is copied before it isused as a blueprint to make protein).Although it plays many important roles in the human body, D-ribose is not considered anessential nutrient because it can be manufactured by the body using glucose and other nutrients. ...You do not need to eat specific foods to receive sufficient amounts of D-ribose.D-ribose is used for a number of indications, including muscle recovery, athletic performance, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS),fibromyalgia and muscle cramping.Helps increase ATP production for energyCardioprotective & decreases fatigueImproves workout recovery time & output..πDOSAGE:Between 5 ( most folks)- 20 g per dayStays in system about 30 min, so divided doses may be betterSAFETY:Rated Likely Safe .. π₯ can reduce output of uric acid so can cause gout attackπ₯Can lower blood sugar ( Even though it is a type of sugar it does not raise sugar)So people with high or low sugar need to proceed cautiously..Unlike other sugars, D-ribose is not normally used by your body for fuel...Instead, so that it can make ATP and genetic material, your body saves some of the glucose itwould use for glycolysis, or fuel production, to produce D-ribose. ...As you synthesize D-ribose in response to specific metabolic demands, and donβt storethis sugar in its free form in your body, there is no βnormalβ level to measure deficiency against.Whether one needs to supplement with D-ribose depends on oneβs lifestyle and state of health...Generally, the body makes enough D-ribose in tissues like the heart, skeletal muscle, nerve tissue, and the brain to meet its daily metabolic needs......... However, people whose cells and tissues are oxygen depleted, or because of illness areotherwise metabolically challenged, may be deficient in D-ribose. Because their energy demandsexceed what their bodies are able to produce, people with ischemic heart disease, congestive heartfailure (CHF), hypertension, fibromyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome, in addition to seriousathletes, would be best to supplement with D-ribose...πI do also recall seeing somewhere that bc of this the people who NEED it will be the onlyWho notice a difference using it..Oxygen deprivation, which characterizes ischemic heart disease, forces the body make energythrough a means other than oxidative phosphorylation. To survive, the body will switch toglycolysis, or glucose metabolism, a much less metabolically efficient, albeit very important processwhich provides the body large amounts of energy in short bursts. The problem with glycolysisreplacing oxidative phosphorylation as the primary means of energy production is that it will causeexhaustion over time. The body, no longer able to recycle ATP, will also become unable to synthesize itde novo, as the glucose it would have reserved for D-ribose synthesis is eventually used for fuel.Remember in energy utilization, the body breaks ATP down into ADP, which it recycles into ATP again...Under disease conditions of greater energy need, the body will start breaking down ADP forenergy rather than recycle it back into ATP. The resulting AMP molecules, incompatible with sustainedcellular function, are quickly broken apart. The byproducts of AMP molecules, D-ribose and adenine, getwashed out of cells, which deprives the body of an energy substrate supply with which tosynthesize ATP de novo. ( means "from the beginning")π During a heart attack, heart muscle cells are deprived of oxygen, and afterward they require large amounts of energy to repair damaged tissueand restore blood flow.... So i understood this to mean that when you need it most, you arent able to make itSo its a vicious cycle.... D-ribose helps to generate energy in heart cells.A typical dose for heart attack patients is 5 grams two to three times daily. So for me I'm using this basically because I have a history of heart disease In my familyas well as an underactive partially removed thyroidand chronic fatigue so I use 5 grams a day...that should actually make this container last a bit.. ..Bc have reactive type of Hyperglycemia I have I noticed that this makesmy sugar feel lower .. So after dinner at the end of the day is better thanFeelin a bit " off" in am..and i usually use when im off work...π₯π₯ππ i dont take with food to offset lowering sugar bc i think this particular one absorbs best on empty stomachIt's not that it actually bothers me a lot but it is something I notice..π i like this unusual supplementMixes easily, slightly salty bc its sodium ascorbate... a buffered C gentle on stomach.Price is a bit higher than my others at 30 bux, but they dont have the c so its not a fair comparison..It does help reduce fatigue.. in a diff way than caffeine..im a fan..πππππ
