Very sweet toy
Very cute! Breathes and makes noise when you touch it. It makes a great gift and looks lifelike

Small but adorable
Adorable pup. Recently our 11 year old pup passed. This pup is comforting to my wife. Removed battery pup breathing is unnecessary feature. FYI not a plush pup but fur is realistic.

Great companion for elderly
It was smaller than I had expected and stiff not cuddly. Having said that my mother was almost in tears when we gave it to her. She is 94 yrs old and misses having a pet but can’t take care of one. We got her the German shepherd and she immediately held onto it and held it to her chest. She naps with it, takes it to bed with her and let’s it ride on her walker. My sister says she is like a different person since she got it. I do have to say the breathing is hardly noticeable and the motor does make a noise but she thinks the dog is snoring so we just let that go. It is a great companion for an elderly person and especially one with dementia.

No. Hard. Battery issues. Poor construction (bottom), hair material is cheap to the touch.
This would make a great sleeping dog prop in a play or movie. When you see this you'll want to pet it. When you pet it, you'll realize it was best just to look at it. The hair feels very fake - like cheap material fake (think a carnival stuffed animal). And I cannot stress enough that it is HARD. The idea is cute - but in no way did my elderly mother feel as though she could snuggle it. For the price, IMO it should be a pass. Plus battery life is limited... So for a child or if someone has dementia and it stops "breathing." That could easily be perceived as ONE DEAD PUPPY - and that is an emotional mess we don't need to untangle. The battery compartment is clumsily applied - and screwed- in so best efforts to keep the batteries fresh and the dog "breathing" is something that will be a lot of work. It is really a no-win. Cute idea. Not executed well.

Perfect gift for loved one with Dementia/Alzheimers
We got this as a birthday present for our beloved family member with dementia/Alzheimers. He really seems to enjoy it, and it seems to provide a sense of comfort for him. He loved dogs so much when he was cognitively with us.
