I bought the ladder on the strength of an earlier review by Keriou who'd stressed how safe the ladders were....Many thanks to Keriou. So, the ladders are not cheap, not so lightweight, a little cumbersome to deploy, but they feel oh so safe in use. I'm still reasonably strong so can operate easily but perhaps this ladder is not for the weaker among us. I asked my wife to deploy the ladder and it was too difficult for her. Another thing to note is you have to fully close and redeploy the ladder to reduce the working height. These are just minor annoyances to me and it's 5 stars all day because of how SAFE these ladders are. I do clean and inspect them after every use and hope they will give many years service as they did with Mr Keriou.EDIT: These ladders don't like to get wet from rain or window cleaning water. I noticed water coming out from the inside of them when I inverted them to put in the car. They also started to become much stiffer and more difficult to operate, especially getting them to go back down after usage. I decided to address this the other day , removed the lower rubber feet and squirted WD40 inside the mechanism as best possible, also where the ladder parts slide into each other and the individual locking tabs at each rung. This was followed by several deployments of the ladder to work the lubrication through the ladder and all is now well. i'm reducing my review from 5 stars to 4 as I bought these for cleaning upstairs windows where there will inevitably be water splashing around. Still a very good strong ladder though.

These are super ladders. I wore the last ones out on surveys, but they took some amok t of punishment before hand. Mud, rain, sand, muck of all sorts, dropped, several times, seldom cleaned but lasted for years. They are light and easy to use. These ones have been updated since my first set and have more damping in the telescopic mechanism. Don't buy cheap, you need to rely on these to support you at 4m height!

Purchased because it had a higher weight loading capacity than other similar products... ( just to make sure ...)... its O.K. but I still feel a little unsure about stability ... seems to flex a little , & although the feet of the ladder have not slipped at all in use ; I just feel a little unsteady when at the top of the ladder ... the way the feet sit on the ground , just don't give me a feeling of being secure.... it works , and is ok to erect and collapse ,.... but I am not sure it is worth double the cost of similar products... the only way for me to tell would be to buy a selection... and no one does that !

Light and useful in back of car or shed, not quite as easily manoeuvred up and down as some makes, but perfectly serviceable. The wide adjustment height is great.
