Will these work with 17-4 stainless steel?

Probably not... The handle needs constant tightening and 17-4 is relatively hard. You might be better served going up a notch or two in quality. I use it on brass and aluminum and it bums me out.

What size drill bit should be used for the M12 tap?

Figuring hole size for any tap is easy. Simply subtract the thread pitch from the diameter. 12mm - 1.75P = 10.25MM hole size. Convert metric drill size to standard size by dividing by 25.4 = .403" or 13/32 drill. Produces a 75% thread depth, which is good for most applications.

My prob is i can't figure if 1 of these will work on my "m6 1×1.50 hole, I used 1/4" bit and next i need a tap, m61x1.50?

6mm tap takes a 5 mm drill bit or 13/64 1/4 is too large

What size drill bit for the m8 tap?

Drill bit size for 8x1mm is 7mm or #J. If the thread is 8x1.25 then the drill bit is 6.8mm or #H
