It is a compact set with a good range of hook sizes. The hooks are easy to change.I found the hooks to be a bit squeaky when using acrylic yarn. The hook handles are a good size for me. I did find that the silicone grips on the handles are a little loose so I can see this may cause slipping problems in the future as I tend to roll my hook when creating stitches. Also the instructions aren’t quite right as I found that when charging the blue light is on and turns off when fully charged but the instructions say otherwise. It also took longer than 15 minutes to fully charge. Overall an okay set.

The hook faces the wrong way and pops out of the handle as you try to crochet. Not at all easy to use.

So I only got these today but I've had a bit of a play with them and I wasn't entirely sure what to expect but here's what I found.Firstly, the hooks don't line up with the handle. With the light up handle I haven't found this a problem but I've found it's a bit of an issue with the pink handle (I use a knife rather than pencil grip so I have no idea if the way you hold your hooks makes any difference.The hooks slide well through the yarn I was using but when I was using the pink handle the yarn did make a squeaky/creaky noise as it went along the hook, maybe because I didn't find the pink 1 as comfortable to use with the hook being off centre.The plastic hooks seem sturdy enough, although I think if you don't use the mini spanner to attach the smaller hooks they might end up snapping. I'm not a huge fan of thinner yarn so I'm not too fussed about the smaller hooks but if you are then definitely something worth considering especially if your tension is quite tight. I also bought the larger set because it goes up to 14mm.The light is great, I like that the whole hook is illuminated so I can see the yaen clearly and even the dimmer setting is pretty good.The case is ideal, it's well padded to keep everything safe, it has all the hook sizes printed under the hooks as well as on the hooks themselves and space for the charging cable. I do some pet sitting and I'd be happy to take these with me as the case will stop anything getting broken.Overall it's a really good set and personally I don't mind the pink hook not working for me as I wanted light up hooks (I have quite a few non light up hooks already) and the larger hooks seem pretty sturdy. I didn't mind the noise the yarn made on the hook but I haven't tried it with a variety of yarns yet so noise may depend on what yarn I'm using (noise possibly had more to do with the issues I had with the pink handle). The yarn did glide with both handles so I'm ok with it.Downside I'd say if you're looking specifically for a set with light up and non light up handles this probably isn't the set for you. If you mainly use thinner yarn then I'd recommend looking elsewhere as the 2.5-4mm hooks do seem quite flimsy and will break fairly early on. I tried to get the 2.5mm out and I had a bit of trouble as the bottom of the hook was a bit awkward to get out.Hope this review helps. I'm happy with them and I'm looking forward to being able to see what I'm doing when my fiancé wants to watch a film with hardly any lights on!

A friend was highly delighted to receive this wonderful gift for her birthday they were led light up crocheting hooks and the stitch and row counter on the handle was an added bonus.

I crochet alot of black items so I brought this to help. The light is ok it does help but the acrilic shaft is squeaky and not easy to pull through the work so quite slow thinking a metal one would be better. But still using it for the ease of seeing stitches the light has 2 settings need the duller light when in the poor light as it glares. The handle is hard and the grip a bit far back for me but it's not as flimsy as I thought it might be

These light up hooks are a great find. Working on projects in the dark winter months can be tedious without good light, but turning on a bright lamp while the hubs is watching TV beside me isn't ideal. Having hooks that light up the work is a great alternative. My only real complaint is having to charged them by USB. Everything these days seem to be by USB. It takes time, and if I forget to charge during the day, my nights are back to basic hooks in poor light.
