What can you say about a knife sharpener? Well first off - it came quickly and packaged well, as described. Unpacked it, it's very compact, fits in any drawer, I'll probably keep mine in the silverware drawer behind the silverware.First time using one of these. Pretty self explanatory. I used the suction cup lever to stick it to the counter. I thought it may not stick to the granite but it did. Very well. It has an arrow pointing front to back demonstrating how to slide the knife through. I've got an old knife set that I've had for 12 years. I started with the largest knife and gave it a few swipes across the sharpening blade. Smooth like butter. Gave it 10 or 12 swipes and tested it out. Like brand new. I spent the next 30 minutes sharpening the rest of my set. Well worth the money. Made my old knife set like new again.

It's very tiny -about half the size of a woman's fist. The suction was strong against tile - it didn't move while using it. My daughter tested it on a tomato, after making 5 passes on the sharpener with the knife. Worked perfectly! I like that you don't have to hold the sharpener to use it.It was $14, all in, so if it lasts awhile I am happy. I wish it had directions included but there is printing and an arrow molded into the top to show you which direction to pull your knife. You need to lower the lever to make the suction stick, and raise it to release.So small you can leave it stuck on your counter or put it in you knife drawer.

My husband is the chef of our household. He saw a knife sharpener like this on QVC for $30.00, so he searched Amazon and found this Emeril knife sharpener for $13.00. It is exactly the same just with a different name.He says that it really sharpens the knife well. You can see the metal shavings after sharpening, so it is removing steel to get a sharp edge. If you have expensive knives, he wouldn't use a sharpener like this one, he would have them sharpened by a professional. For the cost and the sharp edge, he feels this sharpener is certainly worth the money.

Great value! Small footprint. Easy to use. Yes, it is small. That is clear in the description. This is not electric so it doesn't do the work for you. With that said. It's still very simple. I'm a 112lb woman and if I hold knives sturn and steady I get my blades nice and sharp with 3 swipes as recommended. For those that complain it doesn't work, put a little elbow grease into it!

Nice sharpener but the suction is weak. On a dry completely smooth surface it holds ok. The best thing is how compact it is. I like it.

I have a average set of knives and was ready to toss them because they weren't even able to cut through tomatoes without completely smooshing them. My husband has sharpened them for me in the past, but with a sharpening stone, it is a time consuming process. As a list ditch effort I decided to try the Emeril Knife Sharpener and could not be more surprised and impressed. It has a very firm suction on the counter and after only a few pulls through the sharpener, my knives were as sharp as they were when they were new. I have professioinal knives and sharpening them was a process before I gave in and purchased this. Wasn't sure how good they would be - getting the blades sharp - but have discovered that this works just as well as using the whetstone, without as much work.
