NHL 09 - PC

The gameplay is very good on the computer keyboard arrow keys for direction, D for high shot, F for power shot,once you download the game to your computer you can play it without the cd and you can select Nhl, European national teams, German DEL,CzechExtraliga,Finnish sm-liiga,Russiansuperleague .also you can select lot of different jersey's, there's a play zone where you test your self vs the computer to see how many goals you can score in certain time but it's just fun

I like this game but it's not as good as the classic hockey games like NHL '94 and the other great ones I played on the SEGA Genesis and Super NES. The scoring is a little tricky; I find it easiest to score with one-timers. The graphics are beautiful and the gameplay is fairly simple. I use a keyboard/mouse. I will play this game again but it's not in my top five.

So much promise. But when the game comes to you and you set it up on your computer and it pulls your goalie immediately, what fun can there be in playing that? And when you try to get help from the manufacturer, all you get is referred to a forum that has no help at all. It is obvious that this has been a problem for other purchasers. Doesn't the manufacturer try to find a way to correct the problem so that the buyer can get a real, direct, and effective answer immediately?

Trouble installing at first, kept freezing and closing the pogram, and I couldn't create north american teams, only european. Overall bad experience with it.

I wanted to buy it and play it without the internet but the game won't work without being online. So I got internet hooked up and it works fine now. It's a fun game just make sure you have internet if you make this purchase.

I play it every day on my PC. I'm am going to wait and see if EA Sports makes NHL 15 or PC if not I'll probably get the Xbox. If you buy this, make sure you get the X-Box game pad as using your keyboard is a headache. But it's not bad. I gave it 5 stars because there are no other choices for your PC.

NHL 09 was the last NHL game for the PC and was made in 2008. I wanted this game because I really love hockey. Since I bought this in 2013, the roster is outdated and the graphics look weak compared to today's top videogames. This game is easily modifiable with tons of mods across the Internet and is worth buying and playing. PROS - Simple gameplay - Rosters can be updated with mods - Uniforms can be updated with mods - Ice can be updated with mods - Goal horns can be updated with mods - You can skip directly to playoffs CONS - No custom music - You can't play online anymore - Commentary is a bit dull - No NHL Winter Classic

no on line game lobby. no were close to as good as the PS3 version. a poor shadow of the game that's out on the consoles. EA no more cash for you!! jest play 2008 NHL. :(

Le jeu a été livré dans les délais prévus avec le livret et le disque est fonctionnel (2 semaines à date). NHL 2009 n'a pas de bogues non plus, pas comme le 2008 qui en avait plusieurs.

Thanks for the scratched, unusable CD. We’re in quarantine here and my 8-year-old son stayed near the door all day to get this disk. It does not work. It’s full of scratches. We tried it on 3 different disk drives. I’m SO MAD.
