Superbad was co-produced by Judd Apatow and written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. It’s a take off of the coming of age film featuring Jonath Hill as Seth, Michael Cera as Evan, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Fogell, Emma Stone as Jules and Martha Macisaac as Becca.Rather than being about the characters turning into adults Superbad is really about immature kids turning into teenagers. This is what Rogen and Goldberg have always specialized in because they are both man-childs. The main characters are all seniors in high school. Seth, Evan and Fogell’s main priority is to have sex before they finish school and go to college. The plot is about their attempts to achieve that by going to parties.The story has all kinds of funny stories. Seth talks about when he was in elementary school he couldn’t stop drawing penises and got caught by Becca. Fogell gets a fake ID that only has one name on it McLovin. He then gets picked up by two cops played by Bill Hader and Seth Rogen who take him out on a night on the town.On top of that there's a 70s Funk soundtrack, which of course has nothing to do with the story, but it great to listen to.If you like nerdy white kids going through teenage angst then Superbad is for you.C

It is amazing how much a quality blu ray transfer can enhance a film and it is even rarer for blu ray to greatly enhance a comedy film. But SUPERBAD becomes an even more exhilirating expreience due to blu ray. If you love the movie then you know all the great aspects of it from Judd Apatow's production and Greg Mottola's directing to the career making performances from Jonah Hill and Michael Cera. What could have just been an over the top teen comedy with crude and rude sex and jokes becomes instead a bawdy over the top teen comedy that is realistic, true to life and irresistible. It is hilarious and yes, there is sex and crude humor but it all has a purpose and this film is comedy at its best. Seth Rogen wrote the script and his brand of humor along with the gifts of Judd Apatow is starting a whole line of new, inventive comedies. This film also manages to be very endearing and show the realities of teen hardships, friendship and love and what pubescent years are really like.I was amazed when I popped in the blu ray disc. It was my 5th time viewing this film and in the opening shot Jonah Hill is cruising forward in a red car and the color was so crisp, the video so enhanced and clear that I was stunned. Throughout the film, be it day or night, inside or out, the film shines and never loses its intense detail. The video is in 1080p high definition and delivers throughout. I never realized how awesome the soundtrack to this film was. Songs are used to great effect and they will soar out of all surround speakers and set a scene that is amazing. The Dolby TrueHD 5.1 delivers. I found watching this film on blu ray with my home theater system to be so much better than seeing it at the movies. Dialogue is strong and vibrant and combined with the music you can't help but feel joyous.There is a second disc with over 2 hours of hilarious extras and I watched it all. I am so pleased with this purchase and found this blu ray transfer to be one of the best I've ever seen and definitely the very best of a comedy. I am a huge fan of SUPERBAD and all involved and am thrilled that blu ray made the viewing experience even more memorable. Rude, crude, heartwarming and hilarious this film is the best. Do yourself a favor and experience it on blu ray.

This will be an all time classic.Don't rent it, BUY it cause you'll want to watch it over again.

This is a great teen film. I love watching it. I got this for my son for Christmas. So very funny.

I could quite easily and unregrettedly say that Superbad is my favourite comedy movie of all time. This movie is just full of hilarious content, how anyone could disagree baffles me, I've seen this film 10 times but still laugh out loud at certain moments... The main reason I love this movie is because it is awkward. Yes, awkward. By that I mean that both the writers the the actors do an amazing job of creating some amazingly awkward scenes - and we all know that awkward moments are hilarious when we're not involved. I believe this was Jonah Hills first major part in a movie and I'm convinced it's what got him his recognition, and rightly so. There's too much hilarious content to explain, so just go watch it, please do, you won't regret it.

Superbad is the tale of 3 teenage nobodies thinking they're a somebody. While getting upto all sorts of mayhem they each look for their lady and to increase their reputation in school buy partying and getting hold of fake ID to buy booze.This film won't appeal to all age groups for obvious reasons, Superbad really can attract the mid to late teenage/early 20's viewer. I say this as many can often relate to these characters in real life.Superbad contains many cringeable moments with great slapstick humour which was hilarious to watch and thoroughly enjoyable.The acting by Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse was, for each individual, superb and really well portrayed.

Amazon always amaze me with how much cheaper they are able to get great Blu-Rays for! I ordered this on my Prime account and it turned up without fail the next day. It's a great watch that will keep you engaged throughout. Very happy to add it to my collection!

If you're in need of a few laughs, watch this. It's so silly in places, but that's what I adore about it. Seth Rogen is so freaking funny, one of the writers, too. Jonah Hill - legend.
