It's not a UK standard fit at all. But after long time struggle... And few licks, seams now OK, for now.Otherwise, of course it's beautifully elegant.Shame for the fittings.

Lovely item but unfortunately it didn’t fit our sink 🤦🏻‍♀️ I measured it wrong

This is a European 40mm waste fitting (like many of the sinks and wastes that are made in China). To get it to fit on a British standard waste trap without resorting to cutting, filing or lots of silicone you need an adapter. Search for "McAlpine T12A-F".Apart from that, it's nicely made, sturdy and good quality, just not a standard British thread.

To start with, their labelling is abysmal. Ordered one version, the sealed box arrived quickly but labelled as the alternative so was to be returned unopened. Reordered what I did want. Again, quick delivery but the Made in China labelling again was for the wrong one. This time I opened it to find correct version inside contradicting the packaging description!!!!Now the significant part. Despite what it says on the Amazon page for this pop-up waste, this will not readily fit standard UK waste traps! (see also John Sheehy and Callum's reviews). There is an internal rim (see photo 1) at the bottom of the threaded tube that prevents it sitting down into the trap seal correctly. Then compare photos No. 2 - how this waste rim sits up on the plastic of a trap with No. 3 - how an alternative waste actually sits down on the trap seal meaning the collar on the trap reaches further up the threads pulling the metal tube tight onto the black seal and no leaks. No doubt you could bodge a watertight joint or file off that problem rim but why 'endorse' a poorly engineered item by buying it?You may have guessed I bought an alternative at twice the price but it isn't that expensive, the quality of materials, finish and engineering are streets ahead of this one and totally straightforward for DIYer to fit.

The product is well made but due to a lip at the bottom you can't attach it to a UK standard trap. I had to return mine.

Really nice. Happy with it. Good strong click clack. The washers were all angled rather than flat (so check your sink hole) which I had to do a bit of work with but overall very happy and very easy to work with. Happy with the quality.

Whilst I think this a good product and fits nicely in the sink. As a replacement it was a little hard to fit. The outflow has a lip on it and the existing pipework would not fit, so I had to use dremel to reduce the lip so that everything would fit.
