GOODYSo Smart Collection Full Oval Cushion Hair Brush, 1 Count

This is the second of these brushes I've bought. Usually with this type of brush, the rubbery pad that holds the bristles comes loose and falls out. Never happened with this, nor did I lose any of the plastic-y tips on the ends of the bristles. I've been very pleased with it. Other brushes will also get separation of the handle, and that hasn't happened either. It gets a lot of usage in my house, and it seems to have held up well. We have a smaller one of the same brand and type, and it's still going strong.UPDATE 6/26/16:Got this brush over a year and a half ago. With use by the whole family, it's still going. (Worse for wear by now, but still doing well.) Not bad, because my kids are hard on brushes.

If you're looking for the actual goody smart brush that's pictured first, you won't find it here. They'll send you a really bad but similar version that works nothing like the original. Fortunately you can still find the original, go to eBay and type in goody so smart and the original brush will be there and you won't have to search for a replacement anymore

I've bought several of these brushes over the years and they pretty much can do no wrong. They are reasonably priced, feel nice on the scalp, and can withstand a fair bit of abuse. Never once have I had the cushion pop out, and the bristles seem to stay in pretty well compared to many other brushes. The past two brushes I've had have finally warranted replacement when the handle of the brush snapped off at the neck after over a year of use each, at which point I say I've more than got my $7 worth.The reason I'm giving this 4 stars rather than 5 is that the first picture on the listing is apparently no longer what the product looks like, so it may be a bit misleading for others who, like me, haven't purchased a new one of these in a while. The black plastic body, red foam neck band, and the silver oval Goody logo in the first image matched the brush I was replacing, but as it's been over a year since I last bought one, it seems that Goody may have changed what the brush looks like. The item I received looks more like the second and third pictures, made of dark silver plastic with a maroon plastic neck band, maroon bristle tips, and a circular hanging hole at the end of the handle rather than the silver logo plate. The packaging also does not say "So Smart Collection" anywhere, but the listing says that packaging may vary so I'll let that one slide.For anyone else who may have been confused by the difference, the shape, size, and cushion seem pretty much the same otherwise (the cushion seems a little firmer, though that could be simply because it is brand new and hasn't been "broken in" yet), so I'd conclude that it's the correct item, just an updated version.Images included are of the product that I received and its packaging.Edit 9/5/20: 3 and a half years later, this brush is still going strong, the coating on the handle (perhaps for non-slip purposes?) has worn out a bit but all of the bristles are still there and the brush overall seems to show no signs of breaking yet. It looks like Goody may have discontinued the product though, which is a shame because I would have definitely returned to get another one whenever this one eventually does break.

The brush that I received was different than the one pictured. I have rebought the black and red brush for years because it is so good at painlessly brushing my thick, coarse hair. The grey one that I received, although it had the same packaging, was not nearly as good.I have since switched to The Wet Brush brand, which is amazing.

Great brush! Very well-made and sturdy and not flimsy like the ones at the dollar store or the cheap ones at Walmart. I bought this to brush my beard with and I am very happy with it. It will be a even better brush when my beard gets much longer. I would say that this brush is better for longer hair. A great buy and a great product!

I lost this brush on vacation & bought a similar looking, Conair brush from RiteAid when I got home, hated it, and returned it! I have very long hair & lots of it yet the hair itself is very fine. This is the BEST BRUSH FOR LONG HAIR!!! I will not use any other brush! Thinking about buying a few more to keep as back-ups.

I have been using this type of Goody hairbrush for years and was happy to see I could buy it at Amazon.

This is not the classic Goody paddle brush, but a very close second.
