A micro UNIQUE and UNUSUAL by its excellent quality Audio, very linear and natural
TECHNICAL(+) First Contact surprising: compact size (11.3 cm long), somewhat stocky (5 cm wide) and heavy (320 g.). The heavy weight reduces the sensitivity to mechanical vibrations (high inertia)(+) XLR skewed taken down contributes to the compactness in use (eg on recovery or Snare Toms)(+) Integrated clamp terminal (fortunately, because the form does not lend itself to conventional pliers)(+) The 3 high pass filters 122/85/44 Hz and a "neutral / flat" mode that ensures us down linearly to 10 Hz without flinching (manufacturer data)(+) The pad (-10dB) non capacitive = no tonal change (rare and good ! ); allowing us to climb up to 140 dB SPL, up opportunitiesSOUND(+) Very surprising sonority : mix of extreme and subtle presence in the low spectrum (but not boomy of muddy), with silk treble without "hiss" and harshness. In short, the best! Compared with other small quality static membrane (output FET) e60 the sound is more "fluid, airy, free."(+) The EQUITEK circuit - invented by CAD audio — is more than a Marketing promise : it is a real user benefit and a nice innovation since a long time, like the classical electronics made by SCHOEPS and NEUMANCAD : " We use advanced high speed OpAmps (Operational Amplifiers). These OpAmps are individually laser trimmed for optimum performance and have very high gain. This allows a large amount of negative feedback to be used to significantly reduce any non-linearity"

Awesome Sound
Some of my audio friends used these to record some instruments for a project. Loved the sound so I bought 4 for recording. Guitar, strings, piano, everything sounds great. Very true to what the sound is. Very impressed.
