Date Lady Chocolate Spread -- 10.2 oz

Heavenly!!!! As someone who can't have sugar, Maple syrup, honey, monk fruit extract etc etc etc due to health reasons, dates have been my saving grace when I have a hankering for something sweet. All of the wonderful health benefits from eating dates are huge plus with that!!! But up until In discovered Date Lady, I just had to stick using whole dates and date sugar. Which was "ok". But having the ready made chocolate date spread when I am in the mood for some chocolatey goodness is wonderful!! I don't have to soak the dates, get out my food processor and make a new in the kitchen. It's convenient, delicious and had quality ingredients!! I've also used the date syrup which has been wonderful to be able to indulge in pancakes and waffles again, and is also a great way to sweeten my drinks! In LOVE with DateLady products and look forward to trying the BBQ sauce!!

Overall, this is a very good paleo friendly chocolate sauce. The only thing complaint I have is that there is a bit of an astringent aftertaste which I don't notice in the caramel sauce. This is also much thicker than the caramel sauce and must be spooned out rather than being easily pourable. I generally scoop out a tablespoon or so and heat it up for a few seconds to dip my fruit into, which is quite delicious.

I was recently put on the anti inflammatory diet, it's brutal and my cravings for chocolate are uncontrollable. I decided to search Amazon for a treat without the cheat and found this. I waited impatiently for it to arrive, hoping I wouldn't be disappointed. As soon as it arrived, a small spoon was needed to take the taste test. It was tasty but it wasn't a dream coming true. I felt like you may be able to trick some people into thinking it was hot fudge but not me. I quickly put it in the refrigerator, any chocolate is better than none at all. A few hours later....the chocolate crave monster came calling again. I brought out the jar and my little spoon. Wow!!!!! I quickly discarded the little spoon after cleaning it with my tongue and grabbed a MUCH bigger spoon! This stuff is amazing! Thick, rich cocoa taste, decadent and delicious! I don't think that I have ever eaten a much better chocolate fudge sauce! I would recommend this to any hot fudge snob anyday. You wont find a better chocolate spread either just throw out the other ones. Date lady you rock! You're a genius! Thank you for the great product!

I have both the chocolate and coconut caramel spreads. Both are absolutely delicious. The ingredients are pure, honest and clean. I will be a client for life! The coconut caramel is a sweet lover's dream that can be used in just about anything: oatmeal, coffee, cake layer, drizzled over any dessert, vegan ice cream or just out of a spoon. The chocolate spread has the same multiple uses. I once read someone's damaging review that referred to the chocolate spread as having a "metallic" aftertaste. What a misplaced statement. I must say that this is the damage that a wrong review can do to a product. There is not metallic aftertaste. Any clean and ingredient-savvy palate can identify this taste as being the acidity of chocolate (as one finds with coffee) and therefore quite refreshing to have such purity in ingredients and flavors come through. Chocolate is typically laced and overwhelmed with sugars but this one allows for a slight acidity to show through. Lovely, pure and clean. Congratulations on such excellent products. You have me as a client for life!

Well, I think Im in love......I am going to hide myself in a corner and just hang out with my chocolate sauce....and NOBODY else will get any! LOL Seriously. This is good. Im not talking like "it kind of tastes like good chocolate sauce and I can handle this substitute", Im talking like this IS the real deal. Nothing synthetic tasting...no chocolate "flavor" no artificial anything. It's thick, creamy, chocolaty, sweet, and deliciously melty. A heated spoonful melted over strawberries is the PERFECT dessert. So perfect, I served it for company and EVERYONE commented on my chocolate sauce. When I revealed what it was everyone was shocked and delighted. Their date syrup is as good as this sauce and the caramel sauce is delicious also. I do not allow any added processed sugar in my diet other than fruit so this is a very special product to me as ALL chocolate or candies are off limits to me. I think the product is priced fairly as Ive spent more the "regular" sugary and chemical laden stuff in the past. SUPER SUPER SUPER thankful and happy this product is available.

First, let me say two things. One, I am a chocolate snob. I have always loved chocolate and I won't eat just anything. Two, in the past few years I have had to avoid refined sugar. I seriously can't mess with it. Now, onward...I have tried a few other chocolate sauces/spreads that do not have refined sugar (Jem and RawMio, both of which use coconut sugar). I really like those other chocolate spreads. BUT, I like this one more. Why?I like the consistency. RawMio tends to firm up (like coconut oil) and needs to be melted. Jem is kind of drippy. But, the DateLady chocolate spread is exactly what you imagine when you buy chocolate sauce for your ice cream (or apples, in my case). I also like the taste. It is not as sweet as Jem or as bitter as RawMio. It is, again, exactly what you imagine as dessert chocolate.(I still very much like RawMio and would use that more on less-dessert type things when I want a less sweet taste).This stuff is really good. And 10 year-old approved, too!

I really love this stuff. It has lots of chocolate flavor. The dates make it a tiny bit sweeter than I might normally go for, but it is delicious if you want a bit of chocolate without refined sugar. Without warming, it is a thick paste. If you need it more spreadable pop it in the microwave or a water bath, for just a FEW seconds. In the microwave it melts very quickly. I love it in a crepe. The only thing I found it didn't work as well in was as a marbled layer in a bread. The chocolate flavor got a little lost, but perhaps I just needed to put more in! The next thing I want to try it in is a mocha. Yum.
