So I have been using Philips Hue for a LONG time...And have most of my house outfitted with Smart Lighting...However, I have not changed the Recessed lighting to Hue because of the cost. I just couldn't justify it.I purchased this set with a $100 Amazon gift card I got and could not be more pleasantly surprised. Granted I have had them installed for 1 day, but overall, I cannot justify spending the dollars on Hue ($46 bucks for just one bulb) when these work as well as they do. I am hopeful they will continue to perform as well as they have. There is a two year warranty from Sunco, and they are an American Company...Google them.These lights have nice effects, and dim slowly, and one day in I will gladly say that I am planning on buying more.The setup was a little tricky but not bad if you read the instructions. If you have more than one bulb tied to one switch, make sure you put all the bulbs tied to that switch before trying to setup the lights....you will save yourself some heartache. Also, the color is a great feature, but when you use color they are not very bright...with white lights they are very bright but not so much with color even at a 100%. I struggled a little figuring how to tell Alexa to get the lights back to the white color I liked, and then asked her to turn them to "Warm White" and it worked perfectly.For $10 per bulb...I wouldn't waste my money with Hue....these are that good...I gave them 5 starts because of the cost/value will update if I start having problems.

The lights work great. The options are virtually endless. I saw several complaints that the lights were too bright / cold, I am guessing these folks did not adjust the warm / coolness in app, as I have found you can adjust from very soft white to a very bright white, as well as dim any of the colors.I did have a challenge getting them connected to wi-fi, I ultimately ended up using the alternative pairing method, which was a bit more cumbersome (with 8 lights, 4 on 2 different switches), but did get them all connected and functioning properly. Works flawlessly with Alexa, I have one group of 4 lights in the kitchen and one group of 4 lights in the living room. I also have 2 in each group that can be independent (for instance "island light" and "corner light" in the kitchen), which allows you to control one (or more) of the lights independently of the group. For example, I can say Alexa "turn on the kitchen lights" and all of the kitchen lights will come on, or I can say Alexa "turn on the island light" and just the light over the island will come on in the kitchen.Really my only complaint is that you cannot set a mood for all the lights in a group or multiple groups at the same time in the app, you must set each light separately. If anyone has figured out how to do this, please let me know. Although I have not figured out how to accomplish this, the cost benefit of not having to buy an expensive hub and their associated lights far outweighs, IMO...I would highly recommend these lights to anyone looking to integrate with Alexa!

I bought the 10 pack because I have 5 canned lights in my kitchen and 3 in my stairwell. I tried to connect just 1 of them just to see what the process was like and couldn't get it to connect. I tried 2 other bulbs too just to see if some were defective. Honestly there is no way you could install more than one bulb if they are on the same circuit. Reason being is that you have to turn the lights on and off 3 times to reset the bulb, which would mean that the one you just set up would then be reset too...So you'd have to do them all at once and there's no way you can do that based on the application. That brings me to my next point, the application is not specific to the bulb manufacturer and it is very ambiguous which "lighting" option to select. The price was too good to be true. Luckily I've learned how easy it is, now, to return Amazon items at the local UPS store.

These are a great deal and a MUCH cheaper alternative to some of the other brands of smart bulbs. Once they were screwed in it took me less than 3 minutes to have them working with Google Home. I did already have the Smart Life app installed and set up from some bulbs I previously purchased, but even that process is relatively painless. When in any of the "white" modes they are actually slightly brighter than the halogens (same listed lumens) I replaced, possibly due to their relatively old age. The colored modes are definitely not very bright, but I can't see myself ever using those anyway. They do seem to be slightly smaller and there is more empty space around the bulb when installed, but this doesn't make any difference to me, I don't generally sit around staring at my can lights while they're off. For 10 bucks each I'm very happy with this purchase.

Worked intermittently. Individual lights turned on and off throughout the night. Very disappointed.

These were a wonderful addition to my kitchen. I love the integration with Google Home. I set certain ones on timers to turn on at specific times of day. You can even set them to turn on when arrive home.The colors a nice and bright with many options. Customer service was great to work with as well.
