Have installed this for a couple of months. I am a complete novice when it comes to install a lock (I had to drill the door as it just had a smaller tubular mortice lock) but the instructions that came with it were sufficiently detailed for me to understand how to proceed. I have paired it with a nice handle and thumb-turn mechanism and so far it feels very solid. Time will tell of course but for now I am really happy with the purchase.

A poorly engineered piece of junk.
There is a spring which ensures that the default position for the latch is out, i.e. keeping the door closed. The spring can slip out of place, meaning the latch can stay in or worse, stays out and the opening mechanism no longer pulls it back in, so it is necessary to cut a piece out of the door jamb to free the lock. The cavity through which the latch emerges is too large, meaning the latch can skew. There is no barrier to the latch being pushed out too far once things have gone awry (picture 2). Once the spring is out of place, there is nothing to keep the remainder of the mechanism on track (no track, picture 1). There is enough leeway for the mechanism to flip over the right hand end (in picture 1) of the spring every time the latch is opened with a loud click, unnecessary and not wanted when the rest of the household are asleep. It would be so simple to get right and in so many ways, it is wrong. Don't buy one of these. No stars.

Looks good, fits easy, hard to change catch direction
This device looked as I hoped, was easy to fit, replacing old item. However on 3 stars because the easy to change latch direction was not easy. The stub screws were so tight! I managed to remove 1 but the other was well and truly stuck, eventually damaging the screw head. So I've had to fit it with the latch facing the wrong way.

Did what it’s supposed to do and quality was good. Really easy to swap between left and right opening doors

No key or dead lock
After going through rubbish bins it appears this lock really is supplied with out a key 😤😤😤Perhaps this to stop key being lost 🤔🤔
