Exo TerraTurtle Bank - Large

The platform remains above water and "attached" to the walls of your aquarium by way of magnets. They aren't the strongest magnets in the world, but the great thing is that the platform floats regardless of the magnets. I have never had the platform detach as a result of my small razorback turtles climbing up and jumping off. Since my turtles do NOT bask on the platform, I use it as a feeding agent where my turtles will climb up to access their floating food sticks. Works great for me since they live among fish and the fish are so quick to get to the food.

I love this turtle dock, but more importantly,my turtles love it! I previously kept a slope of river rocks leading up to a large rock for a basking area. This was a problem because it took up a third of the tank, and uneaten turtle food and waste would settle in the rocks. I wasn't getting my tank very clean without pulling everything out and starting over every time I changed the water. This dock solved the problem and freed up extra tank room for my turtles to swim. I couldn't be more pleased! My turtles are on it all the time, and I'm sure I will order the large one once they outgrow this one. I love the fact that it adjusts to any water level, and I can place it anywhere in my tank.Be aware that this item floats on the water, and the magnets just keep it from drifting around. You can't put it up above the level of the water and have it stay put, so it isn't suitable as a ledge for frogs or snakes.Thank you Amazon for fast shipping and the best price I could find!

This is a great turtle bank and my turtles absolutely love it…. but. The magnets do not hold the bank in place. When the turtles (2 juveniles) get off or on the bank it usually detaches. Multiple times throughout the day I have to re-attach the turtle bank. I have tried different magnets and none seem to do the job. I have even tried reaching out directly to Exo Terra but have heard nothing back from them. I’m so disappointed, but I am having to return the turtle bank and find something else that works.

This would of gotten a 5 star but it comes broken sometimes straight out of the packaging. Other wise it's really great it floats and has magnets to keep it in place. The aquarium has more room for the turtles to swim.

My turtles love it, my tank glass is very thick so the magnets don't hold but my 10 inch turtles have a great time and so do I watching them climb up. Since the magnets don't hold, it floats around the tank, I actually think it is more fun to see it flip when 2 try to share, but they do sometimes share without it flipping!

I was disappointed that both of the ones that I received (original order and replacement) were cracked and would not float. I decided to just repair it with silicone. Also, the magnets are not very strong. So, overall, it looks good but NOT made very well.

I used to have the floating turtle bank that attached to the aquarium with suction cups, but my RES kept wedging himself in and detaching them. So external magnets seem like a much better idea... The large fits perfectly in my 20L tank with room to spare for him to swim around, and because I don't have to worry about the suction cups anymore it's much easier to clean. I read some complaints that people's turtles were able to move the bank around enough to make the magnets fall off, causing the island to float around, but I haven't had this problem yet. Even if it does happen I feel like I can easily fix the problem with stronger magnets.The seller was very nice, fast, and responsive, and when there was a problem with my original order they immediately sent a replacement. The pricing is competitive.

This worked great for about a month, my 6" female red eared slider loved it and was able to climb the bank with much ease. The magnets held well and it looked great in my tank. However after about a month, I noticed the bank was lying lower and lower in the water. Ultimately, the tip of the bank became submerged in the water and the magnets were not holding on at all. I took out the bank to see what the problem was, and I immediately noticed how heavy it was and I distinctly heard water sloshing around inside the bank. There must have been a very small crack in it that allowed water to fill it slowly owr time. Contacted amazon customer service and received great service, got a full refund and was able to order a replacement with free shipping. I loved this bank, it worked so well, just hope the new one I order doesn't have a crack in it and doesn't become flooded.

My turtle loves to flip it over and then he can't get back on it until I flip it back over for her. The magnets lasted one day with my red eared slider but I have the water flow pointed at the dock at the other end of tank and it stays under the lights

I have two false map turtles of around 20 cm, quite big; the island is able to hold at least one of them without sinking, the magnets are holding up well too. I'm very happy with it, the magnets indeed are not strong, but I stacked them on couple, only on one side, and they are holding up, allowing the island to accommodate the turtle when going up and down.

The platform is very nice. It floats and stays in place with the magnets. The turtle has to put some effort to get on top of it, but she likes it.

Tras probar varias esta es a la que mejor se sube. Y al ser con imanes por el exterior queda muy discreta en el acuario y muy natural parece de piedra. Es de un material muy resistente ya que intentó varias veces morderla. Sin embargo las que están echas de porespan no me parecen adecuadas para la voracidad de las tortugas
