I used this book for my EMT course so I know it's extremely reliable and full of real life info to becoming an actual EMT. I just got this version of the book because it easier to use then my hardcopy.

I was required to get this textbook for EMT Basic. It was a life saver! I couldn't ask for anything better. I liked how each chapter was structured quite well and very meticulous. Each question that was coming into mind were answered after each paragraph of every chapter. The general idea of each chapter was introduced in the beginning of chapter, but eventually it became informative and the writers made it easy for the readers to understand the concepts that were provided. Also the writers made sure all the information in the book were implanted into the reader's mind. How? you ask. Well there is 39 chapters in the book. By the end of the semester I'm required to read the whole book. That being said, each subject was introduced multiple times throughout the book in order for reader to fully understand. I agreed on the writers part that reiterating information consistently can be a very affective learning tool. Think about it. It's like lifting weights, when you first start working out your form is not up to "par". So you consistently critique your form in order for brain to fully understand the proper technique. It becomes muscle memory. In other words, all the information that was given repeatedly will become instinctive. As an EMT Basic there is substantial amount of information thats needed to be learned, but the EMT is limited on what they can do so its imperative that they keep the patient alive before arriving to the hospital.All and all this book was a great purchase. I highly recommend!Good day.

I originally gave 3-stars due to receiving a new book with damage. The seller was prompt to contact me and resolve the issue which was a relief.As far as the text goes:I have read through the first few chapters. Seems a touch outdated & so far some of the photos/diagrams are more distractive & useless then being helpful & intuitive.Other then that the seller is 100% recommendible

This textbook covered all the material on my NREMT exam and my state registry for Minnesota, it has lots of information but it is organized in a way that makes it an easy read. Overall a really great text.
