Easy installation and fits perfectly. I have found that it is good to replace these every now and then.

I bought this from the direct from Amazon listing. I chatted with Dyson and they verified that this was a genuine Dyson part. It should come in a package that says “Dyson Genuine Parts” on a silver label.The filter itself was in a good box, and labeled “Dyson genuine parts.” Also, for the people saying “well, the genuine ones have a white faucet logo not just an outline!” I confirmed this with Dyson and it’s just a new vs old generation of filters. The filter works perfectly on my Dyson v6, and made it suck great again. I also found that you have to really take apart the filters to really clean them. The internal frame can come off and usually there a lot of stuff caught in there. Hope this helps!Pictures:The first picture is of my old filter and the internal frame. Make sure to disassemble this to clean it. The find the 3 tabs and push them down with a screwdriver. They’re videos on YouTube of how to do it. The second photo is of the packaging. The 3rd photo is the new filter, and the 4th photo is of the little dyson serial number on the bottom of each genuine filter. Genuine filters should have this. It’s very tiny so it was hard to take a picture of.

Works perfectly, just like the original. I've found it useful to have an extra set of filters for my Dyson vacuums, both upright and handheld because the filters take some time to dry after cleaning. By having an extra for each unit, I can just put the clean one in when I remove the dirty one and can then use the unit again right away if need be. I rinse out the dirty one and set it aside to dry. That can take a couple of days, but it's not a problem if I have a spare available for immediate use. When the washed one is dry I put it away for use next time I change filters. I really love my new stick vacuum that uses this filter type so purchased the extra one as soon as I bought the vacuum. It fits perfectly and does the job well.

First- the filter is a perfect replacement. My dyson was going on and off, on and off, on and off. I called dyson customer service and was told to ship it to authorized service center. It did not make sense because it would run without the filter and my hand over the hole. The vac is 3 months old and used once a day for small cleanups.The new filter from AMAZON worked perfect. I compared it to the one that came with the unit. The rubber gasket on the original was flat and was not making a tight seal. I took the old one and workes it down so it would take it's original form. Now the original works also. At least I have a spare when I wash the other one.Note: I called dyson back and told them what I discovered and asked then to send me a replacement filter since the original was flawed and I went through an hour of troubleshooting with the original rep and this was never given as a possible issue. The rep was so rude that dyson will never be my choice for anything again. (I have their fan, upright, and stick vack, but if dyson service is like this, oh well, never again.).As always, AMAZON did a fantastic job fullfilling the order with great speed.

I would have given the filter 5 stars except for the fact that it is NOT as pictured in the description. when you click on the third picture it shows the bottom of the filter with the circle blue plastic and it has some writing on it and says DYSON but on the two filters I received it does not say Dyson! that being said it does fit in the vacuum and works fine but I don't feel that it is a real Dyson filter.

Works good, but not as pictured, there is no pointy thing in the middle of mine, so they either changed the design of it or i got one for a different model dyson

Having a spare filter is a must if you have a Dyson, IMHO. If you vacuum pet hair and dander (I have a German Shepherd) - you know how quickly the filter gets full of dust and dander and needs cleaning. Although it cleans easily, it takes time to dry before it can be used again. Rather than have to stop cleaning simply due to this, with a second filter you can clean the dirty one, and drop in the clean, dry one and get right back to work. I find it also makes me clean and change the filter more frequently, which is good for the machine and for the quality of the job it does. Highly recommended.
