Most bang for your buck
If you're looking for an entry level 5.1 speaker set-up, look no further. This is by far the best sound value for your money. This system doesn't have the amazing power of the Z-5500 or the Z-680, but then again, you're only paying around $55 market price (MSRP $79.99) versus $300 ($399 MSRP). You'd be hard pressed to find a better 5.1 build for under $150.I was pretty impressed with its overall performance. The satellites aren't super crisp and clear, but they sound pretty rich and full. I wish the high frenquencies were a little better defined, but I'm being nit picky. The bass is not bone-shaking, but it's tight and well rounded without that clangy sound associated with smaller, less expensive subs. The overall sound is clean and rich and they make very efficient use out of the rated wattage. When playing music, the sound field comes alive with lush sounds. When gaming, the sound puts you well into the environment, with everything sounding "realistic." As for DVD's, the x-530's shine! I can't believe these speakers are so cheap for how good they sound! I bet a few years ago, something like this would have retailed for closer to $200...If you don't have the budget for the high end systems, this is definitely a great alternative.*note* you must have a 5.1 source like an Audigy 2 card to be able to get sound from all the speakers. Make sure all the wires are connected properly. And if you don't have Dolby Digital, well, you just don't know what you're missing... I would say that Dolby Digital is almost as big a step from stereo to 5.1 as mono to stereo was... You'd be AMAZED by the discrete surround imaging (separate sound coming from each speaker), and this system delivers beautifully!

Great crisp sound for gaming, music, and theater/movie watching.
I spent hours researching different speaker systems and these came out on top. I have a lot of experience with speakers because I am a DJ. I own/have owned the whole gambit from powered KRK Rokit speakers to old JBL Towers made in the late 80's, so I am very particular when it comes to my speakers. There are no draw backs from these speakers, especially for the price.* I mainly just use the Left and Right front speakers with the subwoofer. Basically a 2.1 setup, but they don't make the 2.1 in this version anymore.Listening to music...I have these hooked up to my PC with a standard sound card (just the stock one attached to my motherboard) and love the sound. I listen to LOTS of varying types of music (rap, classical, dubstep, electro, EDM, rock, pop, etc.) because I am a DJ and they handle every low, mid, and high very well. The subwoofer is more than strong enough for what I use them for.Gaming...These are great for gaming. I mainly use them for SC2 and PC games, but I have hooked them up to my PS3 for Battlefield 3 and MW: Black Ops 2. Both are great.Watching movies....These are great for watching movies as the dialogue is very crisp and the booming subwoofer really adds punch to action movies. I never find myself adjusting the volume during the coarse of a movie to account for quieter dialogue parts and booming action sequences, this sound system handles all scenes wonderfully.Added bonuses....The positioning of the volume knob, ON/OFF switch, and headphone jack on the actual speaker (Front Right) is incredibly convenient! This means, once you get the subwoofer where you want it, you never have to get on your hands and knees to adjust anything on the ground or from behind your desk. The cords are all great length as well.5 Star for sure.

You will NOT find a better system in this price range
Impressive. Very Impressive. I own a lot of high end seakers & equipment includin BOSE, JBL, & Boston Aqustics and I cant say how impressed I im with this system. I hooked this up to my laptop and what can I say the sound is amazing dare I say almost as good as the higher end stuff. This syystem is perfect for a small room and totally ROCKS on any thing i have hooked up to it (PC, DVD, CD,MP3) and yep I even hooked it to my up to compliment my higher end equipment and i am Just amazed. There are a few minor things (like cable lenth) but nothing too serious to mention. You donot have to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars or go to trendy stores to get "brand Names" for a quality 5.1 system. Logitech has made this affordible for every one and it is a system you can be proud to own. I only wish I found these gems a lot earlier. I cant speak highly enough of this system. Real quality from top to bottom and will satisfiy almost every audiophile. Deep rich bass, crystal clear audio... Do not miss this system you will not reget it. Way to go Logitech!!! One of my all time favorite purchases from amazon.

GREAT SYSTEM
So I had been looking for a new speaker set up for my Room. (small room). I used to have the JBL CREATURE 2.1 Speakers which were Great, But after many years I decided It was time for a new set up. I looked everywhere at 2.1 systems and 5.1 systems. Looked up reviews. and videos. Unboxings. Everything. It was originally looking for a 2.1 But saw this set and it seemed like it would be worth a try. I have had it for about a month and I love it. Seeing my Movies in 5.1 has changed my life lol. Never going back to 2.l.. I must say though that if you do buy a 5.1 system make sure you have a 5.1 sound card in order to take advantage for the surround sound. or else. you'll just have a crappy set up. u wont get a real surround sound experience. These are def good speakers and they sound great. Watch them with any action movie such as black-hawk down or some similar titles and they sound like ur in a Theater with speakers worth Thousands. BE SURE TO SET UP PROPERLY!. You can check out DOLBYLABS set up recommendations ONLINE. FOR THE MONEY> THE SOUND DOESN'T GET MUCH BETTER!!!
