David Clark Sheepskin Headpad aviation headsets

I am a very sensitive person but I was raised during a time when men kept their pain inside - so I never told anyone how uncomfortable my ridiculously overpriced headphones were until a friend saw me rubbing my scalp after a long session of wearing them. He mentioned these and, to be honest, I never thought they would work - I was SO wrong. They were smaller than I expected but that is because they are designed to sit right on that spot where your headset band touches your head. I live in Florida which is known for meth heads and humidity and they have never made me sweat,or itch. I absolutely love these and will own one for as long as I am wearing headphones. Great product - worth the price if not more.

I absolutely LOVE this sheepskin headpad. It is SUPER comfy and cool at the same time. I have a pair of Sennheiser headphones that I needed propped up just ONE INCH above my head so they would engage with a pair of Oticon aids (mic unit sits behind my ear). Without this extra cushion, the headphones would actually cover the aids, blocking all sound. I realize that this headpad is mainly for pilots who wear headsets, but I can vouch that pair of headphones ALSO hurt the head if worn for a period of time. My headphones have a 1.75" wide band and to my delight, this David Clark Sheepskin Headpad stretches perfect to fit over that width - no excess fabric tension or worry that the straps will tear off. The pad is only about 6" long by 3" wide to give you a better idea of its coverage. It's so soft and comfy that I bet I could sleep with these on my headphones. Probably a good thing I'm NO pilot if I wear these.

This headset cover was great when i put it on.. Ive worn it maybe a dozen times in 70-80 degree weather, barely in the sun, and treated with absolute care being installed on a $1000 headset. It has started to turn orange instead of black. I dont use hair products nor anything to do such a thing. Ive had 2 of these before with 0 issues. This one now is complete garbage and a dumpster fire.

I've purchased a couple of these over the years and the new material is a really bad synthetic carpet-like material. I posted a picture of a 2 year old (left) which feels like real sheepskin (dense and soft) and the new carpet-like sub-par synthetic felt... which feels like 100 grit sandpaper. The picture alone is the new bad/new version. Last time I use these. I'll just buy a real sheepskin and wrap it around my headset.Seller's answer was to contact manufacturer.... Wow!

The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because it’s almost too fluffy. My headset can only expand so much to fit my head so with this cushion I’m at its limit and it’s a hair to short now. I force the headset down so it flattens the cushion so It works. So just be aware if you get this that you may have to extend the headset to fit your head because of the extra cushion.

As a crew cheif, I wear my days for hours on end. These sheepskin covers make it more comfortable

Not the thickest headpad there is. It fits very narrow across the headset too. Not worth it. The wide regular pillow headpad is much more wider, thicker, and comfortable, also not as hot in warm weather.

This headset pad was easy to replace on a very old David Clark headset, very comfortable.
