How do the Vortex diamondback 8x42 bins compare to the Vortex crossfire? which is heavier?

Sorry I am not familiar with the Crossfire version.... The Diamondback's are much lighter though than a pair of similar Leitz binocs that I have

Does anybody have any experience with these vs the non-HD version?

What's the difference between the Diamondback and the Viper binoculars?

I have both - an 8x32 diamondback HD and the 8x42 Viper HD. The Vipers are simply amazing - the clarity and brightness are sensational for birding. The diamondbacks are very close and like them as a go to for walks because they are lighter and fit into a pocket. However, they have a smaller field. It really depends on your needs.
