Bats are a necessary part of the food chain all ...
Bats are a necessary part of the food chain all over the world. In fact, bats eat those pesky insects who cause so much disease in other animals and humans.A PLACE FOR BATS shows us many bat dilemmas all over the world and what we as humans can do to help them survive and grow in population. It also debunks the popular myths that have helped destroy them for decades.Be sure to read the end papers and back matter as the knowledge gained there is thoughtful.Written by Melissa Stewart, illustrated by Higgins Bond and published by Peachtree Publishing.#PB #bats #NF #mustread #conservation

Beautiful book!
This is a beautiful book, and so well done that that this is the 2nd edition. Its end pages feature 12 North American maps, each with a different kind of bat and where it lives. Inside the book, each bat gets a spread, with a paragraph or two about it. The top of the spread tells how bats are in danger, and ways we can help them. This is one title from a successful series. There are another half-dozen animals who are featured in this series.
