Gasoline Fuel Filter: High Performance Fuel Filter, Premium Engine Protection, Compatible with 1983-2004 Nissan/Infiniti Fuel Injected Gasoline Engines, PF-1100

Very good fuel filter. Here in West Africa the gasoline is of poor quality. I never had any problem, very satisfied.

Works for my 2000 Nissan Frontier V6. No issues, with fuel pressure or hard idles. I did have to cut the hoses when replacing the old fuel filter with the K&N filter.

PF-1100 is an Excellent fit for Nissan 2000-2004 (underneath install) Xterras and Frontiers, but please do NOT underestimate the time to install if the filter has never been replaced and your vehicle has 150,000+ miles on it. The install will take time, more than you think. Nissan engineers put (what I call) a faceplate in front of the filter, underneath on the passenger side, which you will have to remove before anything else using a 10 mm rachet. Expect to use several doses of PB Blaster before attempting to remove them. Once removed, pull your fuel fuse underneath your dash to the left of your wheel (after starting and running your car/truck) to drain your fuel as much as possible. You will need to jack up your car/truck on the passenger side to allow you some working room and support the jack with at least one jack stand. Then Loosen, if you can, the phillips head screw clamps on the inbound and outbound fuel lines.If necessary, "CUT" the outbound line to get it off.The inbound line connection is usually easier, and cutting it would present a problem due to its very short length and remote attachment.Replace these phillips clamps with the small, standard "hex head/flat screwdriver" clamps for easier install. With the old filter off, zap the large center clamp on the filter with PB Blaster to loosen it. Slide off your old filter and replace with your new one in the correct direction. Tighten the large center clamp but not so tight so you can rotate it on the new filter for a proper fit to the face plate. Install and tighten your hose clamps. Finish up by replacing the face plate (grease the screw threads) and replacing the fuel fuse.

The new fuel filter I purchased is installed. It seem to be working fine so far. But there is a difference in diameter verse the old fuel filter. So the clamp that is use to secure the fuel filter is slightly not secured when screwed completely. So I purchased some heat resistant tape and wrap it on the fuel filter before installing it on the vehicle bracket to secure the fuel filter. But if that not what you want to do just order a different fuel filter that doesn't need tape build up on the fuel filter.

Installed this fuel filter with a brand new fuel pump on my 2002 Infiniti Q45 and it fired up right away. Product listing states compatibility with my vehicle, but it is actually much smaller than the original fuel filter - not sure how that may affect fuel consumption/economy, but the barbed tips were an appropriate diameter for my vehicle.. It was easy to install albeit inline and in-tank, and no leaks were observed during installation.
