The Narcissist's Playbook: How to Identify, Disarm, and Protect Yourself from Narcissists, Sociopaths, Psychopaths, and Other Types of Manipulative and Abusive People

I have probably read 20 or more books on this topic and this book is by far the most comprehensive and concise. The focus is on the manipulation part of this behavior and its the part that's least talked about yet the most destructive. I think everyone, especially every young woman needs to read this book before entering the dating world. Really wish I had. Good luck!

... you're going to feel like somebody actually understands exactly what you're going through with trying to recover from a relationship with a narcissist.I was in a lot of pain when I ordered this book.I had ruminated for months after my break up with wife of 7 months(!) (that's right, you read that correctly) - after she managed to do every step in this book that adds up to covert narcissist behavior. Devastated, I needed to get a narcissist abuse, recovery therapist to help me stop, ruminating about all the crazy sh*t that I went through with her.My therapist recommended this book as a workbook for us to go along and use as we did weeks of therapy together to help me quit ruminating over all of it. Really helped!I don't treat her as a villain though.Even though we are getting divorced, and I hope to have a little contact with her in the future as possible, I do understand the family dynamics and church dynamics that she went through that brought about this sad disorder. I can be empathetic at the same time as holding boundaries and caring for myself as a better human being then she saw me as or at least try to convince me that I was less than who I am.It is all part of their disorder. They have to live in a world where they are on the top and you are on the bottom.This book will help.Kudos to the author who really understands what we are going through when we meet these people.

Just finished reading this and wow… I got out of my past relationship a year ago tmr. This was a really hard but important read to re wire your mind to see the manipulative thing you’ve been a victim too or even stopping your own manipulative behaviors! Please please read this!

This is an excellent book, literally a playbook about how a narcissist operates, thinks, manipulates, gaslights and crazy makes you, and how they select you, their target. You, the target can’t see or understand what is happening to you and leaves you hurt, damaged and wondering what is happening. Red flags and How to recognize a narcissist. How they break you down and how truly dangerous their “game” is. How it’s played and brings you out of the darkness and wounding while revealing the very things the narcissist NEVER wants you to know about them.You may not know or recognize that you are a victim of a narcissist abuse but if you feel crazy made, wrong, manipulated, hurt and confused by someone in your life, even a family member or members, this book is for you.

The book was mostly good although I did not agree with her about therapy I think therapy is good

I tend to attract these bloodsuckers often. This book gave me more insight on how to protect myself from their games.

If you are tired, beaten, attacked and need to find a way to survive and restore yourself from narcissistic abuse, then this book will give you the tools you need to get your life back!

Please read this book if you are in a manipulative, dysfunctional, narcissistic relationship!!! I've downloaded and read several books and this is by far the best. Truly in a league of its own. This book focuses on manipulation and how it destroys innocent people and how to get out of it.
