The easiest one cup of true coffee
The simplest time programable one cup ground coffee machine I have ever used. It has a small footprint and 3 volumes of water measuring, it gives a great tasting cup of coffee in a short period of time, great value for the money. Can drip after cup is removed but a small piece of kitchen roll under the cup solves that issue. Also is very easy to empty and clean. It seems a durable machine just right for me, being the only coffee drinker in my house and avoids having to clean the larger machines. Wake up to a travel mug of coffee that only needs the lid putting on.

Such a great buy
This is a fantastic coffee maker, and great value compared to others available. I’ve had mine 9 months and make a breakfast travel mug, then wash out the strainer for a decaf at night. What I like is you use ground coffee in the filter, not expensive or disposable pods. It’s a lo-fi but highly effective gadget, much quicker and easier to clean than the stove-top pots.

Flawed but excellent if you can work around them (as I have) to make tasty, smart and Alexa-friendly
I am in the unusual position of agreeing with the other reviewer whether they have given this 1 star or 5 stars. Everyone, however, can make using this coffee machine a five star experience with a few workarounds (I've only rated as four stars overall because I shouldn't have to workaround like this but it is definitely worth it for me). I don't normally write reviews but I have written this one so that you can decide whether this will be a 1 star or a 5 star machine for you.It makes terrible coffee by default. It is so weak because it just pours through quickly and there is no option to adjust strength. By removing the re-usable filter though and replacing with filter paper (I've found the Hario VCF-02-100W Dripper Filter to be best although you do have to fold the top centimetre or two over), I think the coffee tastes even better than from my favourite Tassimo. My old Tassimo machine had broken and I did not want to keep on using so many pods that are difficult to recycle but I was wrongly expecting to have to compromise on taste as I do not have the room for a bean-to-cup option. The icing on the cake for me though is that the power button is mechanical with a satisfying click to confirm it is engaged. This is important because it means you can switch the machine to 'on' even when there is not actually any power to the machine (being switched off at the wall or, more usefully, because your Alexa-enabled smart plug is set to off).By using a smart-plug, I can now ask Alexa to turn the coffee machine off at night, load up the coffee plus water and switch the button on the side of the machine to 'on'. In the morning, I can use the Echo Dot in my bedroom to tell Alexa to turn the coffee machine on.I also use ifttt to automatically turn the coffee machine on when I have set the alarm on my Echo Dot. If, for some reason, I have not prepared the coffee machine the night before there are no problems caused because the ifttt command to turn on the coffee machine has no impact. Now I have a smart coffee machine making lovely coffee (I write this while drinking my second cup of the day) but is simple to use (no apps to mess around with after the initial setup - just use manually through the day and let Alexa take care of the morning). It is also easy to keep clean because I am using filter paper.Because I was already using Echo throughout my home, the cost was just the machine itself and a smart plug which came to less than a dumb Tassimo and much less than the WeMo smart coffee maker.Highly recommended for any smart-home, coffee-drinking enthusiasts.

Great little coffee maker just enough for one cup
This is a great little coffee maker just enough for one cupI have limited space and this is very compact fits easily into the spaceIt makes one cup of coffee very quickly I tend to put my milk into the microwave to warm at the same timeThe only issue I have is it does drip for a little time after it’s finished I just put a bit of kitchen towel under the cup before brewing I have still given 5 stars even with this small issueGreat value for money easy to use and clean and ideal for one person

Just what I needed
Works well and is fast. I have only tried it with the supplied travel cup so far but will try it with a mug next time. It takes up hardly any space and is easy to clean and operate.

Ok but not perfect!
Ordered this in the spring sale and pleased I did not pay full price for it.Good things about it are that it does make a decent cup of coffee in a short time - I prefer the mokka pot but sometimes don’t have 11–12mins to wait for it! This machine takes 3-4mins. Another useful feature is the water markings in the water chamber so you can easily see which of the three sizes you are pouring and these are aligned with standard coffee cup sizing which is also helpful. The filter is easy to clean and it is pretty compact so ideal for a small kitchen. My biggest annoyance with it is the dripping and splashing! It continues to drip for a very long time after the coffee is made so requires a piece of kitchen roll in the base to drip on. It also seems to splash a lot when making the drink, regardless of mug size so always needs a wipe over the kitchen surface after it has finished.

Makes a brilliant cup of tea too!
I was looking for something to make me a cup of tea first thing in the morning before I take the dog for a walk - I set it up the night before and just switch it on when I wake up. I know this is advertised as a coffee machine but if you put a tea bag in the bit where the coffee goes and milk in a mug it works perfectly. I’ve only just bought this one but so far it is serving steaming hot tea- much hotter than my previous Lakeland To Go one (which conked out after only 7 months of use). I also like the fact this one has no screen, which I just had to keep switched off on my previous model. This one is really neat and compact. A simple model and well worth the price

Low quality
The lid broke on y to the 4th day of using. Though the product has 12 months warranty Amazons return date has exceeded hence I am stuck with a defective product

Not compatable with Australian power points
Sending an electric device to Australia with a UK electric plug is a complete waste of my money and time
