Worked great
Had to get this remote for a lost garage door opener. Directions included that were very helpful. Programmed it on first try and was well worth the price.

Works great with a variety of door openners. The best service backup!
I have purchased two wireless garage door opener devices of the same model and manufacture for different locations. The first was installed almost 2-years ago and the second 4-months ago. Each installed and synced up easily with differing newer and older garage door opener motors. The first still has the original battery and no issues. The second installed and worked perfectly for 4 months when it failed. Things can and will happen with any electronic device, no matter the price, new or old. I did not feel this was an issue because the product was covered by a 1-year warranty. I contacted/e-mailed the company for help and they responded literally within minutes. I was amazed! No hassle, I had a brand new replacement from them 2-days later. THAT IS SERVICE and the mark of a company that stands behind their products. I recommend this product not only because it works great, has easily followed installation instructions, but because the company's communication and service is tops. A good product at a great price that is backed with service and a quick response! I would absolutely buy this particular device again.

Something is missing from instructions
I have successfully installed several remote access code systems from both Liftmaster and Marantec. The instructions included in this system are incomplete and do not work as described. After several hours trying to associate my 10 Dip Switch Craftsman garage door to this remote keypad, I have concluded the instructions are incomplete. After one sequence about an hour into trying, the keyless successfully worked and did open my garage door. This was a total fluke because I had entered the same sequence of numbers as I had the previous 50 minutes of attempts. If I only had one door, I'd have just held my breath and moved on but I had a second door to program. Unfortunately, while trying to program the second garage door (it can theoretically hold two pins for two separate garage doors) the first pin was reset and it no longer works with either door. I spent another hour + trying to fluke into success but have been unable to get the opener to save either codes.Programming for a DIP switch system looks like:1) Enter programming mode by pressing *#2) Enter mode 1# or 2# (the unit can hold two different pins)3) Enter your garage doors specific dip switch position sequence (2 for on, 8 for off) and press # (I have a 10 digit garage door opener so need to enter a sequence of 2s and 8s to match my garage door)4) Enter the default system PIN (either 1111 for mode 1 or 2222 for mode 2) and press #There are other indicators -- not described in the instructions -- the keypad uses to communicate and I believe I have deduced what they are for:-Several seconds of flashing backlight - I think this means "I received and understand keypad pin and have transmitted my stored sequence to the garage door opener"; long flash is PIN #1, Short flash is PIN#2-Three successive beeps - I think this means "Error, I am starting over"-Long beeps - I think this means "success"In my case, I am able to get a "success" beep after steps 1 and 2 but cannot get a success beep after step 3. I have memorized the sequencing for both of my garage doors and have tried many times, including varying up the rhythm of entry, but cannot figure out how to get the keypad to save the dip switch sequences.I really want this product to work because it is exactly what I need. I am also certain it can be programmed to work with my Craftsman 10 Dip garage door opener (because it did actually work for a moment) however, the instructions are incomplete.I wrote this review as a fair and complete overview of my experience to help others. Perhaps someone can help fill in what I'm missing. I am also happy to append this review if I am able to get it working as sold. It is a good value if it can be made to work properly.

Needed to replace a very old garage opener...
I recently purchased a home with a very old garage door opener made in early 1990's. While it still worked perfectly with remote control. The original keypad did not. When I tried to locate a replacement,I found it was no longer available. So I figured I might as well just replace the whole system. But I soon realized I'd have to spend hundreds to replace and several hours to remove old and install new one (if I didn't run into problems). This bothered me. Why should I have to go through all that just because of a broken keypad. Made up my mind then I was going to try and find a replacement...and fortunately ended up purchasing this one. I was very relieved to see it would work with my old one from the 90's as well as many other manufacturers. I couldn't be more satisfied. I found the directions easy to follow and had it installed in no time. The unit has the ability to program for most common garage opener frequencies. One important note: Be sure to check back of opener unit to see if it has a learn button which will be required to program keypad for the specific frequency. If as old as mine, there won't be one. You'll probably need to purchase and install another device into your system. I bought the LiftMaster 365LM 315 MHz Plug-In Replacement Garage Door Receiver. Once you hardwire the Receiver into the garage opener using the same wires as the button used to open and close from inside garage. You'll be able to push the learn button and it will adjust it's wireless frequency to the new keypad. All that said. Unless your opener is as old as mine. None of this will be necessary.

Have had universal remotes that would not work, BUT this one did.
I am extremely happy with the JJ-RC-SM24-LT universal remote and their Customer Service.I was looking for a single remote for my visor which would replace the 2 remotes cluttering my visor. Needed a universal unit which would work with a late model Genie Intellicode, and an old-style dip switch controller for a garage screen. Ordered and received SM24 universal remote. Programing the dip switch unit was simple, however had a problem with the Genie unit. After several unsuccessful attempts I used the email address ([email protected]) provided in the programing instructions. I provided the information for my specific Genie Model 7155L-TKV. Happy to say a couple days later I received a response with some updated instructions which worked the first time. Only had to press the remote control 19 times, instead of 5 or 6 times as in the instructions.

Works better than my previous one, no security issue identified.
Recently I decided to test the security issue identified by another reviewer. Actually I was freaking out after reading his review. The reviewer stated that security was not good and that all you had to do was remove the battery cover and press the factory reset button for 5 seconds and the factory codes of 1111# or 2222# would open the garage doors. The rationale stated was that although the pin number had reverted back to factory default the garage door opener was still in the memory and thus the 1111# or 2222# would then open the garage doors. I tried this today and performed a factory reset on my keypad. I tried both 1111# and 2222# and neither garage door worked. I then tried my previous pin used to open the garage door and that did not work either. This was proof that I had performed the factory reset correctly.I purchased this after our other remote started malfunctioning. I've only had it for 3 weeks but we love that we can control 2 garage doors, each has its own Passmore. It seems to work very well and I can only hope it gives us a few years of trouble free service. Only time will tell how long it will last but for the time being we really like it.By the way, I had no problems following the instructions and pairing it with our Chamberlain garage door opener.
