A lackluster edition of incredible art
Miro is a fantastic artist and the lithographs included here are crucial to understanding his body of work. Tracing his influences throughout his career is all the easier for having access to these pieces. However, the Dover paperback edition leaves a little to be desired. It is great to have an inexpensive and portable edition of the pieces for reference. However, the flimsy and thin Dover edition isn't really fit for display on a coffee table or public perusal.

It's not what I expected at all
I was expecting more from this, but it was no more than what you would get from a black and white coloring book. The information is less than if you did an Internet search on Joan Miró. Very disappointing.

Great Lithographs
This book contains the prints of lithographs made by Miro' first produced in 1944, at the time of World War II. The illustrations are all black and white - some forms are quite whimsical, others reflect the influence of Picasso and surrealism. Though Miro's works usually contained bold colors, these works are all the more pwerful for the tonal values of black and white. If you are interested in art, especially of the Surrealist Movement, this is a great place to start.
