works fine for ubiquiti 6 lite, but not gigabit
This works just fine for my Ubiquiti 6 lite, but be warned it's not gigabit. Clearly says so in the title, so shame on me for not paying attention. But other than that, serves it's purpose.

This is a great POE injector
This is a great POE injector. I bought it to power my POE PTZ security camera. My camera can use up to 18W peak, and this is one of the few POE injectors that can output enough power for my camera. I went with a POE injector instead of a POE switch because a lot of the POE switches don't have enough juice to power all the security cameras that are connected to it. Be sure to check your POE power draw specification and the POE injector (or POE switch) power output. The hardware came very well packaged. The only complaint I have with this product is the LED is quite bright. It doesn't matter to me because it is installed under a desk so no one sees it. If it is too bright for your use, tape over it or flip it over so the LED faces down. It also comes with a nice 3-prong thick power cable.Overall, great product. I will be buying a couple more of this when I order my next set of POE cameras.

High Power, Good Price, but not 802.3af
Good product but only 3 stars because the title is untrue. Why lie? Just say it powers 802.3af devices.the device delivers easily 15 watts, and actually goes to 22 watts without issues. It is Mode B ( pins 4&5 plus, 7&8 minus) which will power almost all 802.3af devices ( maybe 98% accept mode B) but only if all 4 pairs are connected in the cable. The device is NOT 802.3af compliant. This is a passive device - so if you plug in a laptop or printer by mistake, into the PoE port - there will be damage. An 802.3af compliant device has protection built in - it will not apply power unless the device plugged into the PoE port is 802.3af and able to receive power without damage. The earth ground on the AC cord does not connect to the shielded RJ45 connectors - so don't bother using shielded cables. So use with caution - and enjoy a good product at a good price. Most 802.3af devices do not need even 5 watts - so there should be no problem with this. Note: 802.3at devices will not power properly because even if this device can deliver 25 watts ( more than specified) it does not have the chip inside to inform the 802.3at device of the available power.

works perfectly right out of the box
Arrived quickly, shipped in appropriate container which prevented any damage. I plugged it in and my camera SV3C came right up. I could not ask for more for such an inexpensive device. This saves me from having to pull power for receptacle at the point where i will mount this camera. I feel dumb for not ordering this thing sooner - will buy a couple more for other cameras.
