These are very comfortable and cut well. I also like "nondescript" jeans that aren't logo-fied or just the typical Levi's, which kind of stick out too when traveling abroad. The material is soft yet durable, with rivets, and tapered, not flared by the ankles. Bravo, Amazon!

I really like Amazon slim fit jeans, I wear 35/30, I like the style, softness, weight and mostly, the slim fit feel. I recently ordered a black one, when it arrived, I found out that this one is slightly wider at the bottom, about half inch wider than I expected, I compare it with other Amazon slim fits jeans of the same size, and indeed it is wider at the bottom, this one doesn't feel like a slim fit but a regular fit. Other than that, I think Amazon slim fit jeans are my favorite jeans now.

Quality great...price reasonable. Don't pay brand name retail prices for equal or better quality Essentials!

If you're looking for a pair a jeans that will make you look average at best, then these are the jeans for you! These came up in a search as an alternative to the Levi's that I usually wear. For the price I thought I'd try them hoping for something similar to the Levi style I usually prefer. The sizing was okay, not too big or small in the waist, and the length was fine. However, the cut of these jeans is just not flattering and might best be described as loose or boxy. There is no tailoring anywhere in these jeans where tailoring should be to give them any essence of styling. My wife did not like them and said they'd be fine for maybe wearing around the house or working in the yard but not for going out. So I'll keep them for that purpose only. Other folks also mentioned the "short zipper" in their comments. When I read these comments I wasn't sure what they were talking about or why this would be an issue. I can in fact confirm the short zipper and can even tell you the problem with it - quite simply it makes going to the restroom (standing up) more difficult. There I said it. I give these jeans 3 stars because they are functional and I guess for the money that's fine. I won't buy these again.

I have a 38 inch waist and a 29 inch inseam. Buying regular fit jeans is a problem for me because regular fit jeans are way too baggy and never looked or felt right to me. I was kind of desperate, so I said why not try the Amazon Essential slim fit using "try before I buy" . The price was right and I felt I had nothing to lose. I never thought that slim fit would work for me but I have skinny legs and not much of a butt so I gave them a try. I can't believe that they actually fit well and I am extremely pleased with my new look. LOL I have since bought an additional pair and will buy this style from now on.The only thing that I needed to adjust is because of the type of "rise" in slim fit jeans, there is a relatively short distance and clearance on the zipper. However there are ways to work around this. :)

Ok, so this is just a bad product, not terrible or the worst ever or anything silly like that, just bad.I ordered a few pairs online because I know my size well, and I have never had significant issues with it after 42 years. No matter what, if I order a 30 x 30, I will get a pair that fits. For some brands, the fit might be a little different depending on the cut and stuff, but I have never gotten a pair that I could not wear.And then I met Amazon pants (trousers). The first set of 4 that I ordered in 30 x 30 in the indigo wash, all 4 at least were the same size which is good, but all 4 were far too small. After washing them the first time I tried them on, and both the waist and the length were off. Ok, that was my bad I figure, so I order 1 more pair this time in the 32 x 32 in the indigo wash, and 1 pair in the light wash also in 32 x 32, the next largest size in both dimensions as both dimensions were off. Seems reasonable.Got the new indigo wash pair in, and it was too big. Amazon alone of all the clothing companies I have ever owned seems to think the size I am should be I guess a 31 x 31, a size I so far have been unable to find. But low and behold the 32 x 32 is pretty good, the length is a bit off but the waist is good.Ok, that sucks, but they are not so bad that I can't wear them at all, the too-small ones were, but you can wear too-big. So keep them I did and I have now had them for exactly 43 days. I have worn them a bit, but as with most people, I think, I have other pants and have simply added them to the rotation. I also have not taken a hammer, beating stick, or anything else I can think of that should have affected durability this quickly. But they are now falling apart. I noticed something hard in my shoe yesterday, dumped it out and it turned out to be one of the "rivets" at the corners of the pockets. Checked both pairs, and both are missing at least 2. Also, there are some small frayed threads here and there, but I think that is mostly normal. Not something I would expect in the first two months of normal wear.Long story short, until someone purchases one of each color of these, be warned. The sizes may be somewhat off or perhaps ridiculously off of what you would think are normal sizes. At least with the indigo wash, I would recommend avoiding them as the sizes I think were tampered with by someone who should not have done so, but of course, I have a small sample size so just proceed with caution. The light wash seems to be mostly on track with what sizes actually are, though, of course, your results may vary. The quality on the other hand, again with the caveat of small sample size, but across two pairs from seemingly entirely different lines since the sizes are so different, to have quality issues on 2/2 units is exceptionally bad from a QC standpoint.I do appreciate Amazon stepping in with a lot of the basic items to give some competition, but I have had some pants that I am pretty sure came from third-world countries and such, especially in the 80s and 90s, and these are the worst I have ever owned. Save your money, and buy some Levi's that will actually make it through the first few years without falling apart on your body. This one may well be another failure that they have stopped caring about and are just trying to get costs back out of at this point.

Good jean, fits almost as I expected, but the pictures shows it more skinnier, leg opening is wider than looks, but isn't bad, feels good.Is weird you must wash it before the first use, but is ok, don't release any dye when I wash it.

Color is good, fit is on point. The only gripe I have with it is the huge "amazon essentials" label printed on the back. I get amazon wants to brand its items, but for clothing it just makes it look cheap. If it wasn't for the logo it could pass as some brand name jeans.

Got these slim fit stretch jeans during Black Friday sale for less than $30 and couldn't be happier! The denim fabric is thick but feels soft to the touch. The colour is very nice and the fading in certain areas is done well where it gives the worn-in impression. The fabric has a slight stretchiness that makes it a bit more comfortable in the waist area, especially when you eat a drink a bit too much, something that always happen during the holidays :)

The inseam is much shorter than the same size i ordered before. I think this batch is defective. I have to return it

Great Amazon are catering for short leg ( 28/29 ") comfy and easy to dry, pockets well stitched not overly stretchy ,ordering a blue pair - no more turn ups.
