MyMold Detective MMD205 Additional Samples Accessory Pack for Mold Test, 3 Rooms

I purchased this from Amazon and the seller was Kaspien. The first shipment arrived with 3 missing tape lifts even though packaging says 6. The replacement order arrived also with missing parts. It also looks like the older generation tape lifts (not green). At least it has a 2022 expiration date. Otherwise, I think the tool is useful and saves money compared to hiring mold inspectors

Everthing about this product is painful, long shipping times, lost shipments, terrible instructions, shipping labels included with the products go to the wrong lab and there it stays until you call up and ask for it. Then they forward it to a new lab and that process takes days and days. A two day shipping lablel gets a sample read in about 20 days after the whole process is done. The report is in a PDF that is formatted Landscape and has almost no information per page, like it was formatted by a child trying to stretch the amount of pages with large spaces and graphics to make the report seem more substantial. This is a horribly painful product to use. The problem is they seem to be the only game in town. So I wasted my money on their device and seems I have to use them for now. The second an alternative reveals itself to me I will be using that instead.

Don't know about accuracy, but I submitted duplicate samples with different identifer and got the same result. Only negative is the cost.

I had a few issues misunderstanding the product and service (mainly that the tests would tell me that of mycotoxin presence rather than the likelihood of their presence).I received a call from the CEO who spent 20 minutes with me explaining the product and my misunderstanding with mycotoxins and to apologize about a delay in the final recommendations report due to the storms in January. He was also very frank about the areas where the company needed improvement. He solicited more recommendations from me on improving the company and, finally, offered me some free tests.Any new and growing company will go through some growing pains. But only a few will succeed - and usually the success is dependent on how customer centered the company truly is. Well, a call from a CEO is certainly the ultimate proof of how dedicated a company is to its customers.

I think that this was worth the time and money (as I just really wanted to check the air in my home). The results came back pretty quick also.

This mold testing kit works, the kit comes with 2 air cassettes and 1 surface sample. I wanted to test my kitchen, master bedroom and my son's room, luckily MMD offers these accessory packs which includes additional samples to test more rooms. Great product with a great website and easy process. It only took 5 minutes to run air samples in each room, the pump is super simple to operate. Please note that you must purchase the MMD100 Mold Test Kit that includes the pump, prior to purchasing the accessory pack with additional cassettes.

This product did exactly what was claimed. Setting up the tests was easy. Taking samples: simple. The report was timely and very professionally done. I collected 3 air samples and the 1 outdoor control sample. I did not do any surface sampling. MMD is a good alternative to a pricey professional job, although if my samples had came back unfavorably, I would probably have gotten a professional 2nd opinion. So in that sense MMD did indeed save me several hundred dollars.
