I'm using it when I vacuum the pool so the leaves and debris don't go into the motor basket. I'm also using a skimmer sock with it which fits over the little basket very nicely. The size is only good for small jobs. I would buy a much larger size for an automatic pool cleaner. In any case, the parts fit together well and I'll probably use this on average once a month, so it suits my needs.

Didn't work for the specific pond cleaning task I was trying to use this for, but the product itself is awesome and would buy again if needed

After a week straight of storming, the bottom of my pool was covered in debris! We have an 18' above ground Intex pool. When I tried to vacuum the debris before my purchase, it felt like as soon as the vac hit the floor of my pool, the filter was clogged!!! ... there was no way I'd be able to clean my pool without killing my poor little filter that came with my Intex....I shopped around for vacuums that would catch the leaves.. cheapest was $50 and required a garden hose which is not practical for our set up being we haven't run a water faucet to that end of our home yet, being under construction.... Plus the reviews were terrible stating they leak and do not suction.Next, were electric powered independent vacuums that ranged $150+! Which didn't have the best reviews either but i couldn't justify purchasing a vacuum that cost half as much of what I paid for my entire pool!!!I found this leaf canister and the reviews were not great either, people stating they had various problems with suction ect... For $30 I figured I'd give it a try.. I'm SO GLAD I DID! I have no idea how I would have vacuumed without it!!! My pool was so dirty I filled the canister 3- 1/2 times!!!! But had ZERO suction issues and this product did it's job 100%!!!For the people leaving poor reviews stating, " it didn't catch small debris like sand" ect, it's intended purpose is for situations like mine, where your vac will only pick up small debris... It's designed to pick up large stuff so your filter is only picking up the normal small stuff!!The poor reviews stating that they had suction issues and air trapped in the canister... I had no issues, I believe this is a user error... I filled the canister with water eliminatting air prior to vacuuming just like you do normally with your pool vac. Easiest way was to submerge the canister with the lid off and secure it back on while under water.***You WILL need to have some kind of small hose to attach the "filter side" of your pool canister to your normal filter hook up!!! I purchased a 3' hose at Lowe's for $9. I've shown it in my pictures so you can see what I'm taking about.So far all pros and no cons aside from having to buy the short hose adapter which was no problem for me at all!I think everyone with any type of pool would benefit from this product if they have to vacuum anything bigger than just small sand like debris!!Updated review:March 2021My canister is still going strong after two seasons and it's getting ready to fire up for the third season! I have no idea what I would do without this handy attachment, it's been such a lifesaver! It makes vacuuming so much easier, faster, and prevents a ton of junk going straight into my filter! I haven't done anything special to my canister... No lube or anything on the gasket and I still get a very good seal and suction! I open and close the canister underwater and tilt to get the air bubbles out before attaching the hose, while still under water. I would definitely recommend this product even two years later and I would most definitely be ordering another if something ever happened to mine!

We attached this to our cleaner and it is a game changer. No more leaves making it all the way in to the system. It fit perfectly! No alterations or anything.

This is awsome, it works just as it should caughting all the large debris via the vacumn hose before it reaches the pump. I hardly every have to clean the pump basket but maybe every few weeks. This basket is real easy to clear out and I don't get much in my pool so it's just every so often too. I clean the main suckion line twice a week though due to flowering plants. It's sturdy and well made. I like the handle so you got a grip and the black part unscrews easily. You have to pull hard to get the green section out because it has a real tight rubber seal to undo and that's good or you will have suction problems. You do have to get the air out of the line after cleaning. The price is right compared to the pool stores too. I go to Amazon first for my pool supplies now and with delivery you can't beat it. When I know I'm getting low, I just go back to my order and click order again....done.Update: Have had this leave catcher for several years now and just replacing the basket inside as it cracked but other than that it's become discolored some due to years of sun exposure but over all it's stilll holding up just fine. Great investment as I took it off and left it off to get a new interior filter basket and boom, big wind and lots of leaves so my pump filter got clogged up big time. Now I know not to be without it on my sweeper again. I did find the replacement baskets just not on Amazon which is strange.2/2022 Well I am going to have to replace it finally. I needed to take it out of the pool, and the person helping me throw it on the ground where it is rocks and given it's age (sun and chlorine exposure) it cracked. I'm going to save the parts and order another one, price wise and how well it works worth investing again. Nothing will last for ever in a pool 24/7. Also hard to find this one but on Amazon.

Good when using manual vacuum for heavy debris on pool bottom.Just be mindful you don't over work your filter pump.

L instalación de este filtro permite Lau iar el trabajo del filtro de la bomba en la piscina y puedes limpiarlo con mayor facilidad sin tener que purgar el circuito cada avez que lo haces como te obligaría a hacer con el filtro de la bomba.

Estoy encantado con él porque el filtro de mi depuradora está un poco inaccesible. Entonces sobre todo ahora para la hibernación pongo este y me olvido para casi todo el invierno. Es super barato y va genial.

Après une adaptation de diamètre avec des bouts de tuyau de PVC et l'utilisation avec une chaussette pour piéger les mini particules ça donne le resultat escompté.
