Five StarChef Apparel 18001 Unisex Short Sleeve Chef Coat

I ordered this for a costume. My son went as Gordon Ramsey, and ordering a real chef jacket was cheaper than getting a costume jacket. Only downside is that they did not have this in an x-small, but for the price, I can't complain too much. It is very well made. I ordered a small. This would fit a 5 foot person around 120 pounds or so. Note about the picture I shared, I brought it up about two inches and shortened the sleeves, and tailored the back.

After having ordered this jacket from Medically Equipped eight months ago, I must say that I am impressed with this jacket. The material is thin, great for the summer heat. Although it is thin, it is sturdy and resistant to the wear and tear of the kitchen. The blend of fabrics and the black color have kept it stain free while maintaining the deep black color it had on the first day I wore it. The side pocket on the left arm is great for markers, thermometers or whatever other small tool is needed often, with two different sized pockets. Initial complaints of the material being too thin have probably not had much time in a non-air conditioned kitchen, and so the density of the fabric is deemed more important than the effectiveness of cooling this jacket has.The fit of the jacket can be matched to your t-shirt size, with a good bit of room for variation in body type. The neck doesn't choke when buttoned up to the top, and the buttons have held strong through the washes, as has the stitching. All in all, a great product, and an essential for any cook/chef throughout the heat of summer.

The material is very thin.....almost like a tablecloth but it is soft enough not to be irritating. Being a female cook I was actually happy it wasnt a heavy thick coat because so already wear enough layers and it's HOT behind that line!My only petty issue is that while it is thin and light it doesn't have that fitted professional look so I would only wear this in the kitchen and another coat for special events outside if kitchen.All in all awesome coat!

I really wasn't sure what to expect from this item since i've seen alot of negative views on here... So i decided to take a chance and buy this Chef Jacket.All i have to say is this was a good investment, the kitchen does tend to get hot (especially now since it is summer) and the material is more of a polyester blended with a bit of cotton,so it is a bit thin. Other than that, when i work around the kitchen it keeps me cool and i don't overheat that much as i used to with my previous coats. This is a definite buy for any chef or cook who is looking to keep their cool in the kitchen.The coat is somewhat thin but not thin enough to reveal your undershirt (I wear a bright white shirt underneath the coat and it doesn't show at all).I would recommend this to anyone.

I pretty much summed it up in the headline here. It fits nicely even though chef coats tend to run a little big so I'm glad I went with a medium instead of going down a size like I normally do with chef coats. For the price, this is a sharp looking and decent product. But the fabric is kinda t-shirt like and seems like it isn't flame retardant in any way.It's good for staying warm but not exactly the most professional looking chef coat ever. For what I need, this will definitely do nicely but I'm not likely to purchase the same item in the future. Great for cooking enthusiasts, mediocre for professionals. That's my honest opinion but this is definitely something that I will get a lot of use out of as long as it holds up.

A lot of reviews talk about how thin and crappy these are and while they're definitely thinner than most and of course not the best quality they're pretty decent. My boyfriend actually likes them because they're thinner he gets really hot in the kitchen. This is the second time I've ordered them and so far no problems. I wash them all weekly and they've all held up.

I purchased size xxs, I’m 5’0 110 Pounds and it fits prefect. Not too small. It’s great product with an even greater price. I washed a bunch of times and still looks good, no lost buttons. I’m very happy and will be purchasing a few more for work.

My original got lost in the mail, and the seller had a replacement delivered within days, so I have no issue with them. However, the quality of this jacket is pretty mediocre. It's nearly a full size too large and the sleeve pocket is too far back to be useful. A redeeming quality is that the material is fairly light, making it good for summer months. Once it wears out, i doubt I'll be replacing it.
