I decided to ignore a couple of poor reviews since they appeared to be based on delivery performance rather than product quality. I’m so glad I did because this stuff tastes awesome. Really well balanced flavours and not so hot that it’s overpowering. I used some on pork chops before cooking in the oven but would work equally well as a table sauce. Label says it will keep 6 weeks once opened but I’ll have finished it all long before that.

This paste is honestly delicious, great for sauces and marinating, I particularly like it with prawns! I usually try to get it at the market where I've as the lady who makes it comes along.

First off I will say that this jar arrived with the lid loose and some of the contents spilled out. There was no seal to be seen inside the package and I probably shouldn't have even tried it but I did, thankfully with no ill effects!The smell, which couldn't be missed due to the spillage all over the inside of the bag, I didn't find particularly appealing but then it's not the smell that matters. Unfortunately the sauce that was made using some of this paste didn't taste great either. It wasn't too hot or anything I just didn't really like the flavour. It was edible but nothing I'd be bothered about using again. I guess just not really to my taste, but each to their own.

This is best for other cuisines. Not with Filipino dishes if you are trying to impress a Filipino loved one. I learned how to cook Filipino dishes in the past. Spice and chilli are not used in a majority of our food. I have never made anything using something like this. This reminds me more of Portuguese peri peri. It will taste good with their chicken, also of Turkish kebabs with their lamb cuts or pieces but definitely not in Filipino roasted or fried meats.

This is the second time I have bought this product. The first time, there was significant leakage of the paste all over the jar and packaging. I put it down to a one-off and let it go. I received a second order of this yesterday and it was even worse. The lid doesn't seem to fit the jar or something. A load of the paste had leaked, and because this hasn't been sealed properly, I am extremely apprehensive to consume this (or what's left of it). I have requested a refund through Amazon customer service.

This is a nice product. Garlic and chilli is about right. They set each other off. Very good to spread on chicken or chops and still get the flavour of the meat. Yes it arrived today but had to try it. And thank you for replacing the damaged jar with out any questions

What a fantastic product - delicious chilli paste with a Filipino twist! I used this in mashed potato and it tasted amazing. Thanks so much to Roni B for bringing this new flavour to my life! Totally recommended x
