Its suitably weighty metal construction plus non slip pads where they are needed make it satisfying and less strained solution, in my case for editing long texts. non-slip! feels like the laptop is bolted to the table, yet it is not, it's on the support!

Got this delivered yesterday and have not had a real chance yet to use it. But on appearance its a very strong design. Lovely lines and looks well built. I noticed I may need to WD-40 where its hinged to loosen up the joints. But that's definitely not a negative comment on the item. Overall I'm sure it'll suit my needs easily. Thanks

Overall it looks good and feels sturdy and comes well packaged. Only problem I found is that there is not enough padding on the lower side of the base, making it easy to scratch a metal laptop when placing/removing it from the base.

Of course Apple and companies that design products that work with Apple (like Rain Design) lead the field and influence industrial design (these stands of course work with other laptop brands).The original Rain Design stand for laptops was excellent, made from a big chunk of aluminium, but innovation doesnt stop, and these makers from the East are coming out with some nice kit, this stand being no exception. Competition is a good thing in this regard, because everybody raises their game.Although some of these Chinese companies seem like they pull their brand names out of a hat (and we often see some tech products repeated in various listings here, just with different brand names on them), this “Boyata” stand is the real deal: very well made, lovely design, ingenious mechanism and a great price.It’s slightly stiff to open, but it needs to be. The engineering is similar to the hinges on a MacBook, and is very reliable and solid.Don’t leave many reviews, but this stand deserves a thumbs-up.

I bought this stand 2 years ago and it is still going strong. The design is good - once in position and adjusted, it stays put. I have not had to adjust it. The initial adjustment is stiff - but that is a good thing, perhaps unless you intend to frequently make changes. The footprint is smaller than the laptop itself, but easily wide enough to be stable. It looks and feels sturdy. Overall, it’s very good.
