Nice BURGLARY safe
I almost ordered a "fire and water proof safe" - but they are not Burglary rated -- meaning they can be sawed open. I got this Burglary safe, and then from another site I ordered the AMSEC Storit Cabinets (Jewelry storage) to insert in it. I got the 4 drawer one and it fits inside the safe. The drawers are velvet lined. I keep all my jewelry in it. I have the safe bolted to my closet floor and it is very convenient to open and choose my jewelry for the day. You are allowed two codes. I used a special phone # for one and the other 4 numbers for the other one. That way my finger prints are on all keys (incase someone sprays the keys to see which ones are used)Helpful Hint: The exterior dimensions are 22" W; 22" D; 22.5" H. There is a lip all around the inside of the safe. The opening of the lip are 16" W; 16" D; 17" H. There is a 1.5" lip on the bottom. (I had to use the two shelves to raise up the inserted cabinet so the drawers would clear the lip.)Only problem: They give you TWO bolts for CEMENT floors even though there are four holes. I had to purchase different screws to use on the wood floor. I used 4 toggle bolts so that it would be harder for someone to try and remove.I'm very happy with my purchase - with the safe and the jewelry cabinet insert, it is much less money than buying a specially built jewelry safe.

Replaced our Safe Deposit Box
The safe showed up 5 days before the Amazon estimated delivery date. It arrived on a pallet in a half semi-truck. No damage to packaging or safe noted. Fortunately, the truck had a lift gate because I had no one to help. The shipping company called a business day prior to make sure someone would be home and I asked if they could give me a call when the driver was 30 minutes out so I could scurry home from work. They did. I borrowed a hand truck with four wheels from work and scurried. The driver took the safe off the truck and pushed it on the pallet jack up the concrete driveway into the garage. The pallet turned out to be included(!), not that I really wanted it. After the driver left, I was able to get the safe off the pallet onto the hand truck. I had to tie a cargo strap around it to secure the safe to the hand truck so that I could tilt it back, and then up and over the ledge at the door into the house. Why did we buy a safe and why this product?First, our safe deposit box was not as accessible as we would have liked. The bank is open a limited number of hours, so anytime we needed something we had to plan our activities around when the bank was open. It was costing $75/year, so we could likely recoup our cost for a safe after 4 years. I spent 3 months of research, going back and forth between a couple common less-expensive brands thinking I needed fireproof and waterproof features, but slowly I evolved into understanding I needed fireproof and burglary resistant. We don't live in a flood zone so water from the firetruck would be the most likely water event...short of the roof getting torn off in a hurricane and the resulting rain inside. There's waterproof document bags for that, though. After viewing YouTube videos on each of the less-expensive brands, I determined neither offered the desired burglary resistance, and additionally that waterproof-ness had potential to cause internal mold or corrosion unless the safe was kept open for a while every few weeks. I live in a humid climate and did not want to rely on my inability to remember to swap out the silica packets. Why a keypad instead of a combination? As I have dealt with high-security combination locks, I know opening them would be challenging if in a hurry. Without an emergency key option, I may have reconsidered. The code setup was easy. This will handle 2 different codes...sufficient for us.Why this size? The best advice I read online was to buy one size bigger than what you think you need. Turns out I am finding all sorts of documents that should have been in the safe deposit box but weren't due to the challenge of getting to them when needed. There's no doubt in my mind that if I could move it single-handedly on the hand truck that 2 people would have no problem carrying it out of the house. I put furniture sliders underneath it to easily tweak its position before securing it to the foundation with the provided bolts. Now the ugly. The keypad failed a couple days after the safe was put into service. After some time on the phone, Mesa agreed to send another keypad and what I received was the keypad plus the internal lock mechanism. In purchasing this, it was not my goal to become a safe repairman, but I was able to successfully replace the parts and I now have a beautifully working safe. Had it worked like this to begin with, I would give it 5-stars. I do wish it had some storage space inside the door to hang keys or for small documents like passports.

Decent, Solid Safe
This is a pretty solid safe. It's heavy, so I had to have some guys move it to it's intended location. I didn't read the fine print for delivery, though. I purchased through IndustrialSupplies. Because of the weight, this is delivered in a large truck. You either need a fork-lift or a loading dock for their regular delivery. I had neither, since this was purchased for home use. Thankfully, neither the kind folks at the delivery company nor the kind folks at IndustrialSupplies charged extra to put it in a different truck for home delivery. The delivery guys put it in my garage.Setting a couple codes was pretty easy. You can use codes longer than 4 digits, which is nice.

Fort Knox at a reasonable price
I did my research to purchase a stronger and heavier safe at a reasonable price. My quest led me to the Mesa MBF2020E. Delivery was a breeze with the transportation company coordinating the delivery. You do need someone to help you move it to its designated area. The 3.3 cu ft is a roomy and heavy safe ~ 200 lbs and satisfies my need for both a burglary and fire safe (B Rated). It's 100% steel constructed and is drill and punch resistant... I did not find any plastic pieces on the safe itself (except the touch pad key). It also provides a bypass key to access the safe if the keypad is broken or you forgot the combination.. It comes with four holes pre-drilled and the associated hardware to bolt it to the ground. I like my safe and would purchase it again.
