Eat Right 4 Your Type Personalized Cookbook Type O: 150+ Healthy Recipes for Your Blood Type Diet Review: ... are the foundation of my healing and progressing into better health: the 'Eat Right 4 Your Bloodtype' books ... - Two books are the foundation of my healing and progressing into better health: the 'Eat Right 4 Your Bloodtype' books and '500 Paleo Recipes.' This book gives some pretty darned good facts about WHY some foods will disagree with a person--not just because some other person tells you not to eat them (boring and who is going to listen to that? Especially if you are hooked on a particular food?!)--but because the your body cannot adequately break down or deal with some components in those foods. It tells why one might have a craving for a food that is doing cumulative damage to one's body. I read 'Eat Right 4 Your Bloodtype' and tried the handful of recipes for my bloodtype...and thought: "Okay, what now?! Need more recipes!" No new way of eating is very practical without tons of recipes. ..and here they are! I like the Kindle edition--because my little purple Kindle fits easily on the kitchen counter. It flies all over the kitchen with me (sometimes in my apron pocket). Very convenient. And the Kindle fits in my purse, so I can take it with me to show recipes to friends as well. If I could give this book 100 stars, I would. It not only has the recipes for every blood type, but it also has explanations of what is hard on an "O" bloodtype, an "A" bloodtype, or a "B" or an "AB." You do not need to worry about the rH factor--which would be positive or negative--it does not come into play here. If you are the type of person who wants the entire explanation, you'd also want to purchase "Eat Right 4 Your Bloodtype" as well. Review: Good recipes - My husband swears by this diet and loves making the recipes in this book. He has been using it for four months and feels better all around. The recipes are not quick and easy to make (some are but most arent) but there hasnt been one that we didnt like.

Glad I bought this and use it all the time.
Easy to follow recipes and everyone that I have tried has come out tasty. I have found some favorites that I make over and over again. Some recipes I would like to try but I am having difficulty finding the ingredients. That is the only reason I have rated this a 4 and not a 5. I will say that ever since I have been following the Eat Right for Your Blood Type, my blood pressure has gone done and remains in the normal range and I feel great. I am maintaining weight rather than gaining. When I eat something that I am not supposed to, I do feel the indigestion. So having this cookbook really helps me to plan meals.

A very useful book
This is a book I needed. It has excellent ideas on how to make your dishes healthy and delicious. Being an O blood type I have some challenges making breakfast without wheat or corn flour, or those regular sandwiches with ham or turkey or other processed foods. Dr. D'Adamo makes the road to a healthier life enjoyable because we learn how to take care of ourselves choosing from lots of other foods not only delicious, but also in harmony with our bodies and maintaining our health. This is something easy to believe once you start feeling better and better each day and regaining stamina and a fresh mind. I would recommend this book without hesitation. I will add that in order to have a better understanding of why we have to eat according to our blood type, it is important to read his first book: "Eat Right for your Type."

Not for me
So I tried this diet for a few months but there were too many rules and it was too confusing to follow. I say confusing because for example where it would say in one place you should avoid tomatoes in another place it would say it’s ok to eat them. This happened in numerous chapters with various food items. The recipes I made from the book were good but I gave up due to the confusion. Plus I didn’t lose the weight I hoped for. My suggestion is go to the library and check it out to try before buying. The seller had the book out on time. It arrived unscathed. If it wasn’t for the food rule inconsistencies I would have given it a 5. Not sellers fault.

This book may be just what you need to change how you feel, and how you look!
Before I even heard of this book I was already adjusting my diet over the years, by eating things that "agreed" with me, and things I understood as healthy. Well, just because it's healthy for someone else, doesn't mean it's right for you. I wish I would have discovered this book earlier, it would literally have some me from pain and disappointment. Eating for your blood-type only makes sense. You don't use the same kind of oil in every car, right? I now eat according to my Type-O blood. What an amazing difference! I'm keeping my gastroenterologist informed of my progress on this diet. Hopefully, it will be the answer I was looking for, as well as his other patients.

It’s helped me choose and prepare the right foods for my body. The use of olive oil and butter have never made me put on weight, but eating too many carbs was disastrous for me and now I know why! I was addicted to Cheddar but now know it’s not good for me, but can eat other cheeses which I love and don’t make me feel unwell after eating them.

I find that the research on certain recipes is not updated such as eating TURKEY(!) and there seem to be quite a bit of SWEET recipes in the book as well. The cooking is basically American oriented so for those of you who are more into a Mediterranean diet or dishes, you may want to re-consider. It's an "OK" book, but as for me personally, and living in Europe, we cook much better qualities dishes and have more varied recipes than the ones in this book.

When you begin your Eat Right for your blood type health journey and your naturopath gives you a little booklet of what you can eat and what you want to avoid, this cookbook is a godsend. It gives easy recipe's and you don't have to keep checking each individual ingredient off your list.
