Nokta Gold Kruzer 61KHZ Waterproof Metal Detector

This detector is money! I was a bit skeptical about the VLF machines being able to sense small gold and jewelry, but this detector is not your average gold machine.First, the controls are easy and intuitive. They make the buttons crisp and tacky. The screen is large, bright and easy to read. The detector is light as a feather, which is nice on my lower back!The modes are significantly different, I find myself using Fast for most locations to get on the relics, coins and larger objects. The other modes take more time to get used to, dig every target and learn the sound, not the numbers. The tone and consistency of the sound are key!Happy with my purchase, I wanted to buy a machine that would detect gold for prospecting, relics and coins for fun, and was fully submersible so I can beach detect. Is there another 600$ machine, besides Minelab equinox 600 which has distinctly different audio and ID scale. !!!Warning, Opinion!!! Personally, I’m partial to the 0-99 scale not their -9 to 40 nonsense.As for the detector depth, I can honestly say I have not had any deep targets yet. The detector does well at 7-8” deep. I’m not sure if there’s much truth to the adage “the higher the frequency, the shallower the machine depth.” I’m in Texas, there’s a possibility of finding Spanish silver at depth, but I’m more likely to find civil war and Mexican independence artifacts or some unlucky person’s jewelry at the beach. No dislikes at this point. Solid,well built and designed.somewhat of a learning curve but not overwhelming to use.

In my 3rd month and my DD coil has gone .bad. entering the warranty service phase

I am surprised it actually still works.Packaging horrific..The box rattles around, banging, clanging the coils and the controller..Charging adapter is missing, box had already been opened.If anything is wrong with it I swear you will never hear the end of it.Great detector.. It survived the shipping.Good luck to the next guy.

Unsure if the same unit is just getting passed around buyers but this seems to be a common complaint.. I blame Amazon not the manufacturer. Makes you wonder how old the unit actually is. Especially being a rechargeable unit meaning the internal battery only has a limited amount of cycles. While it comes with a 2yr warranty thats quite a gamble..ive tested it on some snips of gold wire i have for glassblowing/fuming... it technically works though ive not field tested it. Currently deciding if i should just return it due to its used status.... Giving 4 stars vs lower as its not the manufacturers fault how a unit gets passed around like a village jezebel

Wasn’t brand new. Had scuff marks. Box the metal detector was in had been opened before. Wasn’t sealed. And metal detector wasn’t dead. So it had been charged before. Likely used.
