Read the sizes to be sure your pet will fit. I have a larger cat, and XL was the correct size. Installation isn't difficult, but the written instructions are not super clear if you're not already somewhat handy. The magnet is very strong and it took a bit to teach the cat to push harder to get through. It looks just like shown.

Thought I'd like the lock feature but it sucks, they slide really easy so when the cats go through they lock themselves in or out. Had to tape them so they don't lock.

Came in quickly, pretty easy to install and my cats love it. The only complaint I can say about it is the locking mechanism other than that love it. Oh and by the way I ordered second one that’s how much I liked it.Ok this is an update, my cats learned how to unlock this one. So I had to order one that they wouldn’t be able to unlock.

I really searched for a door for my cats to use to go to and from the litter box in the basement. Most of the reviews for this one were good, with the exception of a few whose cat wouldn't use it. Well, I purchased mine in November and neither of my cats will go through it unless the door is taped open. The door IS hard to open. I even tried to put tape over the magnet to see if it would open easier, but it didn't work. The cats go nuts if we try to help them go through it. Is HAS trained the cats to sit at the door and meow to go down to the litter box, and to sit and peek through the window from the other side to let us know they want back in. I'm going to see if my husband can perhaps take the door off and replace it with a sheet of thick plastic and maybe that will work. It is also too wide for our old door and doesn't fit tightly, so my husband had to put caulking around it to keep air out, and it is an eye sore to look at. Anyway, it isn't a good fit for us, but hopefully, if you purchase one, you'll have better luck with your cats not being scaredy cats like ours!

The chickens figured out how to go under the garage door when I left a gap at the bottom for the cats. This is perfect!

Perfect for our catio! We have a smaller cat door to let our cats outside and this was an addition to our catio. It's bigger than our other cat door and so easy to install. We will probably buy another to upgrade our old one!

This cat door is almost great. I've had it installed for about 3 weeks, one cat won't use it unless I push him through or open it clear door all the way for him to walk out. (scaredy cat), the other uses it all day and night to go exploring whenever she wants. However, the problem is that the weather stripping is coming out, and I'll have to fix that myself. It shouldn't have come unglued yet, but I see that others have had the same issue. Cold air comes in at night.

I was looking forever for a cat door that would fit into a sliding window but there are no models I could find. So I settled on this and decided to insulate around the open window. As far as ideas goes, this worked out great.The cat door feels solid and holds in place very well. The swinging door is very firm. My cat doesn't so much enjoy having to push so hard with his head to get in or out but because he wants what he wants he suffers through the indignity.The door also swings closed very fast and firmly, which is great for keeping the cold or bugs out. I was worried about maybe skunks or racoons figuring it out but the door needs a determined push and closes with a snap so likely a wild animal won't want to test it out.There is a bit of weather stripping around the sides of the swinging door, resembling hair, which does not keep the cold out as effectively as I would like. When I put my hand up to it (not on it) I can feel the temperature difference. However the room doesn't feel any colder so I'm going with it. I've attached a picture so you can see the weatherstipping is a bit lacking.Edited to add that the weather stripping had indeed fallen off quickly. I have glued them back on twice now.

In all honesty, it is what I expected it to be. I certainly wouldn't buy one for an exterior door in Canada or your heating bill will go through the roof! I have an interior door between upper and lower levels of my house that I bought it for. The back of the box would be more useful than the laughable directions they printed! They must've used a cheap Chinese knockoff website to Google translate to get their English from because it's beyond terrible!! When I'm done dugging and installing my wood skin I'll update my review about the actual installation. I'm thinking I'll be using my own tapping screws to secure it because what they sent seems useless for a metal clad door.

its all nice to install and it looks good, almost perfect but when cats just learn how to use it they sometimes get their paw stuck in it! Saw it happening couple times, they try to push the door, it opens up and falls back on the paw, cat tries to pull back and his paw gets stuck between the frame and the bottom of the door. Poor thing hisses and sometimes pulls it out or kicks the door open to get himself free.It's OK once they get used to it after a week or so, but still there must be a way to make it safer.Other than that have no complaints.

Great for indoor use. Can’t speak to it being a door for cats going outdoors. Provides a good noise/smell barrier and the locking mechanism works great, although you should check it regularly to make sure your cat doesn’t lock themself in or out. My cat is able to move the lock from time to time.
