Best marker for drawing, shading, and highlights.
Posca markers are my go to markers for shading and highlights. They write smoothly. They also, are easy to use and function as described. Great value for the money.

LOVE Posca Markers
As a professional artist, I love trying out new things. I tried out POSCA markers last fall on a gas tank and fenders for a custom Harley for a client. Man, I am hooked on them. They are perfect for both thick lines and detail work and SO much easier to control the line than with a paint brush. I love that they produce a solid colored line and I've not had 1 marker that had any issues.I ordered 3 of this sized marker and 3 of the larger tipped ones when I was preparing to do the metal work because I didn't know how far the paint in them would go. I used 1 of each size tip for different lines and details, and even doing the entire gas tank and both fenders, I didn't use close to the full marker on either one I opened. I was amazed.I used the remaining markers in some experimental pieces on canvas and I adore the way that the paint comes out of the marker and how well it goes on canvas. I also use them for signing finished pieces that are done with a brush or other technique. It's easier to actually sign my name with them instead of trying to do so with a paint brush or other paint marker. If you have never used POSCA markers, I highly recommend them. They are absolutely amazing.

Posca quality per usual
It's a Posca. It works beautifully. It's long lasting. I've bought this brand for years and never been disappointed. They always work well. I've had some I haven't used for years and as long as they're capped tight they will restart like you never stopped. These were individually wrapped. Good quality.

The markers are very opaque and easy to use for line art.
I was planning to try Posca pens for a while to see what the hype is about and they live up to the standards people set for them. The black is great for line art and coloring or fixing your mistakes. What I don't like is that if you draw over a black posca with a white posca and it's still not dry it creates grey. You should give it some time to dry before you put highlights near the black or it does something you don't plan on it doing. It's not an inherently bad trait because you could make grey if you need it but it is frustrating if you don't plan on it doing that.Overall It is a great marker and lives up to the hype that artists give it and when I do have money for art supplies again would buy the color poses as well to see how well they are. I tried many black markers for my art and these markers are one of my top 3.

AWESOME product that LASTS !!!
I bought these over 2 years ago and I was just raving about the quality to a friend and decided to come back here and leave a review. The pens have nice black paint (not purple like a permanent marker) and they dry on the item fast but the PEN never dries out. I opened the first pen 2 years ago and I still use it to touch up scratches in black products I sell. I haven't used the other 2 yet. I have nothing bad to say about this product it has worked for me flawlessly.

Always my go to paint pens for myself and suggesting to students!
I love to paint with watercolor and inks. However, the convenience of paint pens means that I use them quite often, especially when I can't get into the messy studio or I'm traveling. I've used posca brand for years and often recommend to online students in my creative courses. I purchase the color sets also, but I use the black and white the most. They work great over more fluidly painted layers to add details and fine line work (see example in the uploaded picture). I'm also using them to make coloring pages to share with others who prefer to color without drawing the designs themselves. I recommend getting them in a few different tip sizes for more variety and versatility. You can see some demonstration videos if you find me on social media (Jules Ostara). I hope you make time to create and add your own magic touch to something!
