Logitech LX5 Cordless Optical Mouse

The need for this product arose because the spring under the left button on the mouse I bought w/ my Dell Computer in June of 2008 finally wore out. I found myself pleased with the lifespan and really hoped to find an exact replacement for several reasons: 1) I did not want to have to get used to the shape and feel of a different mouse; 2) I really did not want to change out the wireless keyboard that came w/ the original mouse, too; and 3) I got four years out of a mouse and would very much like to get another 4 years out of the next one, too!Getting down to the details of this order, though, the package arrived as expected and on-time. The mouse worked perfectly w/ my existing wireless transmitter and feels exactly like my old one.Overall everything worked out perfectly and for $20 I got everything I wanted out of this transaction.

I was very disappointed by this mouse. First of all, the receiver looks really ugly, which is itself as big as a wired mouse, with a long cord. Then, the mouse does not work at all. When I put in the batteries (yes, it uses TWO AA batteries), only the green on/off light lighted up. You would expect red light showing from the bottom of an optical mouse, but it doesn't for the one I received, which shows the mouse is defective. Of course, it does not work. The cursor does not move at all.Don't waste your time on this piece of crap.

Works great for a desktop's mouse and at a great price, but... although some reviews here say the pictures have been corrected, this is not exactly a cordless mouse. The RF receiver is almost as big as the mouse itself and is connected to your USB by a long CORD, making it practically useless for a notebook computer.

The product was shipped quickly and arrived in good shape however I did not realize that the batteries included, though new, were old.After inserting the batteries the mouse worked fine for a little while but all of a sudden there was a loud pop coming from the mouse. Upon opening the battery compartment I discovered that one of the batteries had exploded and sprayed it's contents on the circuit board making the mouse useless. I then had to discard the Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard and replace them with a new set of Logitech mouse and keyboard

I'm a mouse snob. Most mice I can't abide. Logitech, however, seems to always have a few mice that I appreciate. I like not-too-small, and not-too-big. I must have a scroll wheel, though tilt isn't a priority at all. The battery life must be extremely good. Wireless is a must. This is not, however, my favorite mouse. I mostly got it to replace a mouse I already had without breaking the bank. It worked with the receiver unit I had, so I didn't have to get a whole new keyboard/mouse combo. Did I mention I'm a keyboard snob too? I had to keep my keyboard, and I wanted a mouse that used the same receiver. For letting me do that, its great. Other than than, I would not say it's my favorite mouse. I'd get a Logitech Couch Mouse over this one any day. It works on any surface. This mouse is not so great if you don't have the right surface and the glossy mouse pads don't seem to work at all.

An excellent, low-cost mouse with good battery life (even better if you turn off the battery, using a switch, when not using the computer). Good, precise feel, user-definable functions and horizontal scrolling available. I don't know why anyone would pay more for a mouse.

can't go wrong with any logitech product - i have everything from mice to speakers, and their products always work well! this is a great mouse - you won't regret buying it. kudos to the merchant, OUTLET DIGITAL - great price, great service, fast delivery.

With no cord it kept falling off my desk. Finally broke into a dozen pieces. Went back to a wired mouse.
