How to play: 1.Use an ordinary dark coloured crayon or marker to draw a thick line on a white piece of paper. 2.Turn on switch on the button of the car. 3.Place car on top of the drawn line. 4.The car will run on the line automatically. 5.If the line finishes, the vehicle will continue in the direction followed from the previous line. 6.If the line is too thin, the vehicle may stray off the line, please make the line thicker (The line should be a quarter inch in thickness.) Feature: This is a novelty inductive car, which follows the marker line like magic. If you place the Inductive car somewhere else it would run in circles until it finds the line. The Toy has an optical sensor that reads the black line drawn on a white piece of paper. The car is powered by 4 x AG 13 button cell. Marker pen included. The line thickness should not under 4mm and not overrun 10mm, Non sharp-angled line. Will make Perfect gift for your little child. Package include: 1 x yellow car. 1 x Magic pen. 1 x Instruction manual. 1 x White paper.

It follows some fairly complicated lines and is a lot of fun. Actually it's a little too fast
The truck is very cheap plastic but it does the job. It follows some fairly complicated lines and is a lot of fun. Actually it's a little too fast. The battery compartment isn't where the instructions suggest but, once I found it, it was easy to open with a tiny screwdriver. Some reviewers have said they don't work - the instructions don't mention that there is a little slip of paper between two of the batteries to stop them draining at the warehouse. Once this is removed all is well. My three-yr-old is enjoying drawing courses for it to negotiate which means he is practising using a pen without realising it's 'work'.

Very cheap, broke within 2 minutes of playing with it.
This product is cheaply made (I paid more for it than what it is being retailed now, approx GBP 11). As soon as my nephew took it out of the box and played with it for 2 minutes, one of the wheels had fallen off. Additionally, the truck didn't switch on/ follow the line. I assume it came with batteries, but not sure if these had run out before even opening the box. We're going to try to open it up to replace batteries (which we will now have to purchase separately), to see if it will work, but not holding my breath. The packaging box seems to have a slot for batteries, but I didn't see any in there. Very disappointed as we were unable to play with it and it was broken!

batteries included- screwdriver needed
Thank god I read the reviews about the screwdriver and I opened in advance. After panicking and sending a previous one back I received a nice email from seller with instructions of which screw to remove... I had removed every other one.Cute toy. I will agree with previous reviews that a permanent marker on the hands of a child young / old enough to draw the tracks is a gigantic leap of faith. Swap it immediately for a white board marker. It works and is easier to clean : to clean table, chairs, children's hands/face/clothes/... You see the picture.

Works but fragile
It does what it says but is incredibly cheaply made. Wouldn’t trust my son alone with it as I do fear one small drop it heavy handed movement would mean the end of it. One of the rubber bands around the wheels is also really badly fitted and is very lose. Took advice from previous reviews and used white board pens

Doesn't follow a line
Very disappointed. Bought as a birthday present. There was a battery missing so we couldn't use the product. We ordered more batteries and it just goes in a straight line. It does not follow the printed example line sent with the product and it didn't follow a line that we've drawn either. It's just a toy tank and doesn't do what the toy has been sold to do. Also when turned 'off' the wheels still move occasionally so we've taken out the batteries again.

Fun
My son loved this. He is nearly three and hasn’t shown a great deal of interest in drawing on paper. This changed all of that. He couldn’t wait to make more “roads” for his new truck to go onWish you could pick the type of vehicle you get. My son would have preferred the digger.

Hours of fun! Grown ups want to play too.
The media could not be loaded. These are a great fun little truck that runs along a black line wherever you choose to draw it!My Grand children love these and have one each. Can't say they are extremely well made but they are surviving and have given hours of fun!I have found them quite reliable and follow the lines well, the truck works better if you draw a thicker line.
