An Excellent Conclusion!
While wanting to start on a book that is being delivered today, I thought I’d spend my time reading a few shorter reads that I’ve been neglecting! First up is Wires and Nerve: Volume 2: Gone Rogue by Marissa Meyer and illustrated by Stephen Gilpin. The Lunar Chronicles was such a fun series! It was truly the characters that got me to keep coming back again and again! Iko, of course, was one the best ones and as you might know, Wires and Nerve is her story!Gone Rogue starts our story by showing us Steele and his band of “merry men” ready to take down Cinder once and for all. Their first stop is to recruit Wolf to their cause, with promises that he can regain his humanity back. Meanwhile, Iko has learned some pretty shocking news regarding her identity chip that has always made her stand out from the rest of the androids and Cinder is making big changes to the way the Lunar palace and world will be run.The main goal for this one of course was to put a stop to Steele before he can cause too much damage and hurt people. Though there is a kidnapping, and fighting, lots of fighting, and that led to other shocking reveals. It’s always hard to review a graphic novel or comic book! The story is so short as it is, that you don’t want to give too much away but you also don’t want to leave others in the dark about what goes on! And let’s also add in this one that I really liked how Kinney’s character continued to grow! I can’t remember if he was growing or not towards the end of the first installment of this graphic novel series or not.The artwork in this book is truly amazing! I love the drawings and designs, I’ll admit, I wish it was more full colored than shades of blue, but it does start to grow on you as you read further along. And I do believe that this series of events took place before that final story we got in Stars Above! So it kind of lets you know how we got to that point in that final story there! This is definitely a fun, quick read that all Lunar Chronicles fans will enjoy! Or likely enjoyed as I feel like I am way behind on this particular series! Lol. But I am officially caught up and done…until the next surprise that is! You never truly know! If you were a fan of the series and enjoyed Iko’s character—because who didn’t love her?—then you will fall in love with this amazing and wonderful story that lets Iko have a chance in the spotlight!Overall Rating 5/5 stars

Fabulous Finish to Iko's Story and Good Follow Up for the Lunar Chronicles series
So, we reach the second half of the story and get to see the gang working together to stop another villain. The graphic novel experience with the first volume has been a good experience so far and there was some good camaraderie, romantic tension, action, and suspense that I am eager to see get even stronger in this latter portion of the story. Not only is it not a good idea to jump in with volume two here, but to have any idea or enjoyment the reader must also start and complete the whole Lunar Chronicles series first. Worth it, of course!Iko and the gang including a curmudgeonly Liam are all hands on deck to stop rogue Alpha Steele from hurting Cinder's friends or getting to exact his revenge plot on Cinder. He and the other rogues who were altered into wolves by the late wicked Lunar queen Levana believe Cinder is blocking the scientists from reversing the wolven affects and turning them back to who they were and that she is choosing to cruelly withhold this procedure as well has plans to corral them up and make them into her army. Not true, but Steele will not believe otherwise and has put the whole team into danger because he is going after them all to hurt Cinder before finally coming for her. One of the gang's own has fallen for Steele's promise to the wolves and joined breaking his friends' hearts who don't want to believe he would betray them. And, further complicating these troubles, Liam finally has his belief in Iko's robot-ness shaken right about the time she learns the truth of her origins and has to come to terms with what is revealed. Liam also starts to search his heart about his feelings right when he might lose a new chance with Iko.The end was pretty spectacular with a few twists and surprises. Not as fabulous as the earlier books in the series, but still a great reunion with all the players and to see the story advanced and where they all are now. I was hoping for a bit more about some people's future plans even though a few got a good solid wrap up.The graphics were slightly different in this one, but still worked great with the storyline. So, definitely a duology I would recommend with series fans and to those who haven't started The Lunar Chronicles, go for it if you enjoy a blend of action-packed YA sci-fi dystopian fairytale retelling blends.

Yes, please and thank you.
As with the first of this series, I wish I could give it a 4.5, but since I can't- a 5.0 it is.I smacked myself in the head when I realized the fairytale connection to Iko's character, after reading the first installment in this series, because I should have realized it much sooner. So here I am stating the obvious- this really is a great take on the Pinocchio story. Even if Iko isn't a real girl, she's real to all her friends and strives to be more human every day. (She's the Data of YA for any Trekkies out there.)I had an entire essay, much like my review of the first book, planned for this book, but decided to keep this one short and simple.I adore where Meyers has taken the Lunar Chronicles and am so happy to be able to see more of Iko's adventures. This installment was very satisfying. If it ends here I'll be happy, but I will never turn down more if the author wants to dish it out.Highly recommended whether you're a comic book fan or not.

Perfectas condiciones
A pesar de que el paquete vino un poco abollado, el libro llegó en perfectas condiciones e incluso antes de lo esperado. Era exactamente lo que esperaba.

Great book
Love the lunar chronicles series so it was great to have a follow up series. liked that the book was in a comic book style even if the illustrations weren't exactly how I imagined the characters to look like. Overall, great book, loved the plot.

The first volume wasn't my favourite. As much as I love The Lunar Chronicles
The first volume wasn't my favourite. As much as I love The Lunar Chronicles, I'm not a huge graphic novel reader. But the second volume BLEW ME AWAY.
