Q: can ypu use lying down in bed

No! You can sit on the side of the bed and pedal. If you are so impaired that you are reclining all the time, then the Foldable Pedal Exerciser won't help.

Q: How do you set the bike to read time and calories burned?

You can use the Toggle button right below the LCD Screen.

Q: It is squeaking.when I pedal. I tried wd40. Any other suggestions?

It only squeaks when I first start, it stops after it warms up. If you use WD-40 or any other lube it will take away some of the resistance thereby changing the effectiveness.
