How well would this take an impact such as from a baseball?

Probably very well. I do muay thai and jiu jitsu and regulary take incidental kicks/shins to the groin. Its a great cup.

I need to know how big the X-Large version of this cup is. I got the "Under Armour Athletic Cup II" which said "one size fits all" and it's too small.

The shorts and cup are both small. I have a 32' waist and the medium is very tight. The cup shape is a great design and is the best of six designs I have tried but the volume of the cup is small. I would like to see size options like nutty buddy offers.
