What I didn't like were the negative feedbacks. This product worked exactly as described. You do need to pace yourself slowly and consistently and it will get the job done. You cannot try to rush and force it or you will have problems. It only took use two frames and we figured it out. Worked EXCELLENT for us.

Knife gets way too hot and no way to turn it down. Caramelizes the honey making portioned of it unusable. It also only worked for one season. Tried to use it again this year and doesn’t work at all. Please don’t buy this

I really wanted this knife to work. I knew I wasn’t buying a real nice high-quality tool, but I thought I could make it work. I am usually pretty good at getting by with what I have. With that said, the knife just didn’t work. It would start way too hot and boiling the wax and honey. Then, making the cut would quickly cool the knife to the point where it would barely melt at all. In the end, it would probably require at least 30 to 45 seconds to uncap one side of a frame and make a mess of the comb. I also purchased one of the safety razor style uncapping forks that you pull along the surface of the frame. That thing is amazing. I can easily uncap one side of a frame in probably 15 seconds, with nothing to plug-in and no learning curve. When you can buy one of those uncapping forks for about $12, there just is no justification for owning this heated knife.

This knife works very efficiently for its low price and is capable of doing everything the higher price knife does but at a less cost.

This unit needs to be hotter. Will not melt bees wax.

Wow what a piece of garbage and there is no warranty. Used once it's a safety hazard. Advertising says 320 degrees. This thing doesn't shut of and goes up to 450. Melts wax and instantly burns it. Completely unusable and warranty is non existing. 5 days out of warranty and seller told me to pound sand.
