New Believer's New Testament NLT (Softcover) Paperback – March 3, 2020

NLT uses contemporary English, and lists the original translation for modified terms and phrases at the bottom of the page. It's written to maxmize understanding of the scriptures for modern day people, especially ones who don't have extensive knowledge of The Bible and society in that region and time. I have many translations, but this is my daily. I'm a new Christian, accepting the Lord late in my life. I have many translations, but this is the one I can read without relying on study notes to frequently decipher the author's words. With other translations, it's distracting to me to have to look up words and phrases so often. This NLT New Testament contains brief notes regarding daily life and spiritual life written by pastor Greg Laurie. He has a gift for getting a message across just as plainly as if we were having a face to face convo. The notes are placed about every 3-5 pages, not excessive. This New Testament was originally given to me as a gift, and I bought another one for travel. It's made with regular paperback book paper, not the typical "translucent" paper used in regular bibles, so reading it is easy on the eyes.

This is a bible that everyone should have. Easy to read also has a summary page to help you understand what’s going on in the chapter you’ve read.

This was the Bible I bought when I started to go to Bible study. It’s great for beginners to understand. Well done. My two teenage grandsons asked for same Bible for Christmas.

Great Bible for new believers. NLT translation is simple to understand and is so much more than just a Bible.

This is the perfect Bible for Evangelism! Greg Laurie did a perfect job of breaking down scripture for the new believer to understand. And the Intro with the Prodigal Son example drew me in deeply, even as a lifelong Christian. This is the perfect Bible to give to a new Believer or hopeful Believer. It explains the complexity of Scripture in practical, yet deep understandability. Every Christian should keep many of these on hand with them at all times. You never know when the Lord will line You up with a Divine Appointment. Or even place them in areas where people in need may find them, Shared book areas? Park benches? On top of gas pumps? You never know what Our Lord can arrange for just the right moment for just the right person. Especially when we Pray. Our time is short, Lets use the little bit of time we have left to bring Lost Souls to Christ.

I like that it's just the NT for new believers. Its a smaller NT so the writing isn't huge. Great buy though to help out new believers in their new walk with Christ.
