Anxiety: Knowing God's Peace

This book is a great resource if you're struggling with knowing God's peace in the midst of anxiety. I've been reading through this as part of my Bible study and have found some really insightful tips to help me when I feel the stress and anxiety weighing in.Each chapter is meant to be read one day at a time - so it's really a devotional to work through. At the end of each chapter is a section for you to reflect and act and I highly recommend working through that activity section. It helps you analyze and reflect on what's giving you anxiety and where your heart is focused.Rooted in faith and backed by scripture, this resource is a perfect companion to come back to over and over whenever you need.

This book got me through a traumatic relocation. Highly recommended.

Counselor-pastor Paul Tautges writes warmly and wisely. He's the friend you need when you're freaking out!As I read his 31 short devotionals on overcoming anxiety with God's peace, I felt understood. Yes, like Paul, I've dealt with anxiety and the occasional full-blown panic attack. I'm a counselor too and have required the anxious women I counsel to buy this book. It's THAT useful.Among my favorites:--"Entrust Yourself to God at Night," which speaks to getting our sleep back on track when anxiety over things like overdue bills and a loved one's illness steals shut-eye.--"We Are Weak and Limited," reminding us that our anxieties often spring up over daily weaknesses and that we need to remember inner peace is available from Jesus always.The Introduction, where Paul reveals his story of ending up in the ER twice thinking he had a heart attack (it was anxiety!), and the Conclusion that shows us HOW to meditate on God's word are gems.Hopeful, practical, warm, encouraging.VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This book is such a treasure I will mine from again and again. I am already recommending it to those whom I counsel, but especially for my own counsel! Paul, in his characteristic gentleness and humility, shares his story of release from anxiety by a diligent study Scripture. He then passes that along to us in short (two-page) readings that also contain daily challenges, practical applications, and thoughts on which to reflect. Whether you are new to the Bible or a serious student of the Word of God, I believe you will find hope and help for your struggles with fear and anxiety. I am so grateful for this devotional, and it truly exemplifies 2 Corinthians 1:3-5. Thank you, Paul, for sharing from your painful struggles so we could be helped in our struggles!

This devotional is great. Scripture based applications to fight anxiety and find God's peace in your life. Can't say enough. Highly recommended.

I have enjoyed doing this daily study on anxiety. It has prompted me to seek the Lord during times of sinful anxiety. The daily readings are short for a busy mom who doesn’t get lots of bible study time. :)

This devotional arrived at my doorstep at just the right time- so like God! It is both hard hitting & gentile all at the same time. Hard hitting because it reveals our heart’s issue & then gentile because it shows the solution- God. I’ve grown much in the area of experiencing peace of God by being at peace with God. I finished reading it for the first time & now reading through it a second time.
