This is the third year I've had these in my lawn and just order some replacement batteries - the original batteries lasted that long, a couple are still going. I really didn't think they would last that long or work at all, but when you are loaded with critter tracks/hills you will try anything. At first my review would have looked like all the other "do not buy" " worthless", they really didn't seem like they did a thing. I left them in the front yard and moved them around from time to time. After months, I noticed less and less activity around them. Not surprising other parts of the yard that I wasn't as concerned with started getting mole/vole tracks. The side and back yards don't have much grass so I'm not worry about if they moved out there. I think once the critters move away, these work fairly well as a deterrent to keep them out. Don't give up on them, they just might work some day. Yes, they do make noise but they did last years.

It’s helped my garden some but hasn’t fully deterred critters. So I still have to use different methods.

I bout the pack of 4. however it make a noise to scare off the gopher and the noise is very noticeable to human ear. not a problem if it will solve the issue. .. but the problem. I put them all in one side and the gopher escaped to the other side ( my backyard ) .. I should have put more in the backyard so it will make him run away.also the spikes are not waterproof. as the 1st rain they got filled with water 2 of them already stopped working after a month. they should look into more details when building this item .

We live in Colorado and have voles / moles from heck.. Our yard looked like a war zone with all the holes. I ordered these as we have tried every concoction, device etc. (Black Moles Traps, Gummy Worms, Mole Max etc). While some were partially effective, none have done what these have done. I started out with a four pack, closest to the house. Left them in for a day or two and then added the next box of four and then the next box. I put them closer than required to get the critters OUT!! Now I am going back in and moving them further into the open space behind our yard to ensure they leave and stay gone. While there is a slight buzzing sound to them, it isn't awful and I would rather have that then holes in the yard. Now we can finally look at grass in the yard.. Hope this helps anyone considering them.

The plastic spike is not strong enough to press into the ground without pre digging a hole. The included directions state to remove the top assembly and use a wood block to hammer the spike into the ground. Unfortunately, there is no connector to separate the spike from the head. The wire instantly broke as there was no slack and very little solder to connect the wire to the control board. Once installed, the unit makes an audible beep every 30 seconds. Time will tell if the critters dislike the beep.

I still have my mole.I am not happy. The only way to get rid of him is poison. I can’t do that, he’s gonna live here rent free

Great product but 1 of the units does not work (switch broken) and I have NOT been able to find out how to contact seller to replace it on Amazon

Had to hire exterminator
