Junk, Junk, Junk
Junk, Junk. It has become an expensive paper weight. I have spent over eight hours trying to get it to work; an hour here, an hour there. Set it aside to deal with the other aspects of life and then go back, the true definition of insanity, hoping that it will work this time. Because I have delayed, cannot return product. I have two other of these devices in the house (same manufacturer), and they work great, actually amazing, so I know I am not doing anything wrong. Got the new version, which also has 5.0 ghz, not just 2.4, and everything falls apart. I actually sat next to my router, I had 100% signal strength, and could not get it to connect. I would avoid this product at all costs; "upgrades" to products don't always make them better. It is situations like these that you would like to speak directly to the engineer that designed it and have him stop by the house...

Very poor overall bandwidth
During the setup,* I Used the free wi-fi analytics tool. That was a nice value add.* I found that it was crazy easy to configure. I liked the touchscreen and I felt like it gave good feedback as keys were selected.* First thing I noticed however, is that the response time while saving changes or moving to different settings screens was very slow. This caused me a little concern because if it could not even handle it's own simple UI, how would it handle moving data? So, I got thru everything and started testing.* Connecting to my RC-AC68U (High performance router) from my furthest room I had aroun 80% signal. - N: avg. 30 down 22 up -N5 - avg. 80 down 6-8 up (signal strength much lower ~75%)* Connecting to the extender - It had 100% signal to my router and I had 98% signal to it - N: avg 20/15 - N5: avg 40/4 (kept dropping connection)Bottom line, At twice the distance, my ASUS router was still more reliable.Recommendation: If you are way past serviceable distance from your router and having a limited bandwidth is acceptable, this might work for you. I really believed a lot of the marketing on it, high power and all that. So far not impressed. I feel like the biggest thing holding this back is the fact that it only uses one antenna, vs multiple antenna's to dedicate to transmit/receive.

A Very Good Range Extender
Look... I see a few reviews saying that they are having problems with this extender. Now, I can't speak on their experiences, I can only speak on mine. I'm here to tell you that this is A GREAT RANGE EXTENDER!Yes, it has it's faults, but they are few and for the most part well manageable. I've had mine for a few months now and have good and reliable service with it. I have a rather large yard and needed something to get my WIFI out to my out buildings. This does the job very well. We're talking around 40 or 50 yards from the extender to the buildings with a drop off of only a couple of bars. So basically, a very good connection.I have had no trouble maintaining a good connection from those distances. So if the only thing you need is a range extender that can cover most of your home and yard, well, you shouldn't be disappointed with this one. I'm not sure if they do, but they should make more just like it.

Very nice product!
My old repeater went brain dead after 5 years of good service so I decided to give this new touch screen model a try. What a pleasure not to have to hook it up to a laptop to do the set-up! And set-up was pretty straightforward and took only a few minutes. This repeater is working great at 2.4 GHz (my router, a Verizon FiOS ActionTec, isn't dual band). It also "remembers" the settings with no problem when it hasn't been plugged in for a few days. The only improvement I would suggest would be a better quality touch screen ... this one seems very thin and cheap ... and it could be a little more sensitive to touch, especially near the edges, as it can be challenging to get it to "scroll" to the next screen. But overall, I'm very satisfied with this product, its relative ease of set-up, and so far, its performance is excellent.

This isent the signal your looking for.. move along.
So slow its laughable, i tried to use for my xbox 360 and the connection speed was only 768 kbps (a 10mbits connection will net you around 10 meg a second download speed, the lower the slower), far too slow for any kind of solid connection (the built in networking device has speed capabilits 10mbits/100mbits a second, far and above the turtle speed this router gets you). All that techno babble to say this: its a waste of 100 dollars, buy a better router.

This product is an absolute piece of garbage. Tried setting up just through touch screen and ...
I went through two of these units trying to set up an extended network at our business. This product is an absolute piece of garbage. Tried setting up just through touch screen and it just spins its wheels on a "loading" message, never completing setup. Tried doing setup through the web browser and got further, but while the instructions say "your unit will now reboot," it absolutely does not. The unit cannot seem to restart to complete the network configuration. All their "elite" tech support seemed capable of doing was reading the instruction sheet at me -- the one I had in my hands that I had already read. Terrible product and support. I'd give it zero stars if I could. Also, Amazon, the first one you shipped was in an open box and the unit had fingerprints all over it. Nice. All around not my favorite experience with you guys.

Started out great but I'd recommend trying something else.
I originally gave this 4 stars after using it for a few days because it started out great. Easy setup and it seemed to work fine. At first. After about a week and a half/ two weeks i started seeing signal drops. Those signal drops became more and more frequent.Considering that this is sitting about 15 ft away from the router I gave it the benefit of the doubt and adjusted the distance.Nothing.At this point it is sitting in the same room as the router and I still get signal drops.Everytime I check the signal status it says anywhere from 94% to 78% yet it can't keep the signal going to anything connected to it.This is my first time using amped wireless products and I more than likely won't be trying another.I do not recommend.
